Sephora Collection Soda Pop and Melon Sorbet Kiss Me Lip Balm Review

Hello Beautiful Ladies,
It’s been days since I wrote my last review and I was so super busy that I couldn’t take out time and go for a “Me-Shopping”. During a family vacation, I had an ample amount of time to do some shopping and the first thing I wanted was a lip balm and when I buy something and I love it, I want the world to know about the product and so here is my review:

My experience with Sephora Collection Soda Pop and Melon Sorbet Kiss Me Lip Balm:

I always prefer a lip balm over a lipstick and I am comfortable that way. When I was strolling through the streets of Paris, I entered a beauty store with the intention of buying a perfume and ended up buying this (My husband was super happy, he didn’t have to pay for the costly perfumes:P)

I drool over cute cases and the egg shell case caught my attention. Sephora Lip balm comes in 6 shades. I purchased 4 and I had to let go of 2(even though I didn’t want to) and the variants I have now are Soda Pop and Melon Sorbet. Each variant has a flavor and most of the times I end up licking my lips off and it is hard to resist. They smell according to their names: Soda pop smells like a cola(tastes like one too) and Melon sorbet like the infused honey melon and watermelon.
The color isn’t long lasting, it may wear off after 2 hours. So I apply some L’Oreal caresse Shine stains lip gloss over it so it retains the color and doing so, it goes on for approximately 4-6 hours. It does hydrate my lips and initially, I felt my lips were baby soft when I applied the balm. They do not provide the 4 hour hydration as they claim but they moisturize and makes the lips supple and soft for at least 2 hours.

I am so glad I found this product. If you have a wheatish complexion like me, these 2 colors brings out the best in you! Dab on some kajal, smear some balm and you are pretty as ever!

Pros of Sephora Collection Soda Pop and Melon Sorbet Kiss Me Lip Balm:

  • They make your lips soft and supple, moisturized to a certain extent.
  • The tint in the balm is an added advantage and can be used as a lipstick.
  • Perfect for daily wear.
  • Smells heavenly.

Cons of Sephora Collection Soda Pop and Melon Sorbet Kiss Me Lip Balm:

  • Does not live upto the claim of 4 hours of hydration.
  • The tint wears off soon and reapplication is necessary.
  • The packaging is not friendly when the lip balm gets older ( You need to have a brush for application)

Would I repurchase Sephora Collection Soda Pop and Melon Sorbet Kiss Me Lip Balm again?
Yes!
