Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water Review

Product Purchased by IMBB

Hola Amigos,

Micellar cleansing water is a rage nowadays. I wanted to try one from long and I really don’t know what kept me waiting, but I wasted no time in picking this one when I got the chance to pick products for the IMBB sponsored scheme.

Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water

Product Description:
What it is:  A no-rinse micellar cleansing water with a texture ideal for delicate skin.

What it is formulated to do:  This product cleanses the face and eyes effectively in one simple step. Its soap-free formula features cleansing spheres that effectively capture and eliminate impurities and makeup. It also includes HydroSenn+, a natural ingredient proven to deliver immediate and long-lasting hydration more effectively than hyaluronic acid.  It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

Suggested Usage:

  • Place cotton pad directly under pump.
  • Press down on pump to completely saturate the cotton pad.
  • Apply to face, eyes, and neck.
  • Do not rinse.
  • For fresh-feeling revived skin in the morning, use a cotton pad to apply cleansing water to face using gentle strokes.
  • To relax eye area, apply cleansing water directly to closed eyelids with a cotton pad.

Price:
The product comes in 3 sizes, the bigger the cheaper.  USD 6 for 1.69 oz/ 50 ml; USD 12 for 6.76 oz/ 200 ml; USD 20 for 13.5 oz/ 400 ml.

Bottle

My Experience with Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water:

I have the medium-sized version which comes in a transparent bottle with a black screw top cap. The bottle has all the details printed over it and comes sealed with a plastic wrap around the cap. The cap is a push top one which has a hole for dispensing the product. The larger, 13.5 oz bottle features pump dispenser.  The product is clear, transparent liquid, and has the consistency similar to water. On cotton, it feels like fragranced water. 😉 The fragrance is fresh and grassy. I like it because it refreshes me up.

Cleansing water

Now coming to its main action, i.e. cleansing – it performs just okay on that front. It does not remove makeup in one go, well I know, most of the cleansers require going over a couple of times, but with this micellar water, it is much-much more than that. You can say that I am crazy, but I keep the cleaning process on till I get a clean cotton pad and it takes a long time and many cotton pads to reach that point. 😛 I would say that this is good for removing light makeup, but with heavy makeup, you will get sore skin if you try removing it with this cleanser and it takes so long.

Sephora cleansing water bottle

For light makeup, I need around 7-8 cotton pads, so you can think how long it takes to remove full-fledged heavy makeup. Also, rubbing-swiping cotton pad on face for so long… my skin really doesn’t like it. Nowadays, I use it on the days I am tired for following the whole CTM routine. I stay at home and sunscreen is the only thing I use everyday which doesn’t need much effort in removal.

Cap

It is safe enough to be used on eyes, but is not for waterline. I used it on my waterline and my eyes were little irritated after that. 🙁 But it is safe for sensitive skin and did not break me out. This cleanser leaves my skin soft but for my dry skin, using a moisturizer later on is a must.

Swatches

I have not used any other micellar water hence really cannot compare with any other.

Pros of Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water:

  • Sturdy packaging.
  • Travel-sized version is also available.
  • Water-like consistency.
  • Safe for eyes.
  • Did not break me out.
  • Nice, light, fresh fragrance.

Cons of Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water:

  • Not suitable for removing heavy makeup.
  • Takes too long for removing light makeup too.
  • Not for waterline.

IMBB Rating:
3/5

Would I Repurchase Sephora Collection Triple Action Cleansing Water?
I guess no, I will not repurchase it. There are so many other brands to try, plus swiping the cotton pad so many times, irritates my skin. I would recommend it to you if you need a cleanser for removing light makeup.

  1. Bakuliiii, I am hooked on to micellar waters ever since I have tried bioderma cleansing water. It’s great for my sensitive skin and now easily available in stores too.
