I am back with another review. This time while shopping around Diwali, I visited the Sephora store back here in Mumbai and I went nuts looking at all the products there. It’s like a makeup heaven for beauty lovers like me. I really like how all the beauty brands that I longed for from Sephora is now so conveniently available in India. All thanks to the Sephora stores opening up in every mall around the country. The only con is that the products are extremely costly compared to what we get in the States. Moving on to today’s review, I was looking for a gentle makeup remover when I stumbled on this. Let’s see how it fared.

My Experience with Sephora Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Gel:
The Sephora Gentle Eye Makeup remover gel comes in an easy-to-use pump bottle packaging. There are apparently two other variants in the remover gel line by Sephora. I decided to go ahead with the gentle version since I have extremely sensitive skin. The Sephora Gel Makeup remover pump bottle makes it travel friendly; however, one can go overboard while pumping out the product. The bottle has all details written over it, but sadly, it is difficult to read since the bottle is transparent. The consistency of the gel is thick and not watery.
On applying the makeup remover to the skin, it melts off quickly and feels like a cooling toner applied to the skin, maybe this is due to the cornflower extract present in the formulation. It does not have any stinging sensation at all. It’s really soothing and calming when applied on to the eyes. Now coming on to the making removing property, it does remove makeup very well, although it does not do it in a single swipe. It takes approximately two swipes to remove normal makeup and 4-5 swipes to take off waterproof makeup. After using the product, it leaves skin squeaky clean and well moisturized. The best part about this remover is that it did not cause any breakouts unlike most oil-based makeup removers I have used, so yes, this formulation is indeed gentle. The formulation is also without parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
Overall, I feel this is one of the best cooling makeup removers that I have used till date but the price is a complete let down since I could settle up for something cheaper doing the same work gently. However, if you do not mind splurging a bit on this product, that too from a brand like Sephora, then I would suggest you to go ahead and try this out.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Sephora Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Gel?
Definitely yes for both. I would recommend this remover for any one with sensitive skin like me, although we can go for cheaper alternatives. I will repurchase this since it has become a part of my daily routine for now and it’s almost about to get over and I still have not found a better replacement.
