Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette In The Nude Review

Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette In The Nude Review

By Gurdeep Tak

Hey Girls,

Although, I have been reading and searching on this blog for a while now, this is my first product review on IMBB. Living in New York City, it is hard for me to find products such as foundations and concealers that best suit and match my Indian/warm skin tone. When it comes to shopping, IMBB comes in so handy, you can find experiences of people who have similar skin tones and features, which makes shopping for makeup so much easier.  I am excited to share this beautiful palette from the Sephora Collection. I bought this palette for a wedding I went to and received so many compliments on it.  If I ever come to India, this palette would definitely be in my makeup bag. In India, there is a holiday or a family occasion almost every week. So, I thought this product would be great to share with the Indian beauty community.

My Experience with Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette In The N*de:

This palette contains ten neutral super pigmented glittery/shimmery eyeshadows. The price is also reasonable and affordable, considering you are paying $2.70 for each eyeshadow. This palette is great for girls who love partying or go to a lot of family functions/gatherings. Since all of the eyeshadows are neutral with a ton of glitter, it does not look extremely dramatic or overpowering on the eyes and can also be worn with darker lipstick shades. The palette ranges from golds, coppers, browns, champagnes, and also includes a beautiful warm violet shade. The warm tones in these eyeshadows bring out brown eyes that most Indian girls have, making them appear brighter. And the best part is that they are made without harsh ingredients such as parabens and sulfates.

These are not just any types of eyeshadows – they are baked, which means they are super-duper pigmented when they are applied wet, and they last all day long, which I LOVE. I would recommend using a setting spray such as MAC Fix Plus on a FLAT eyeshadow/shader brush. I love how these eyeshadows have that wet glossy look to them, as if you have applied a lip gloss over regular eyeshadows without having to be sticky, so that definitely a plus.

However, one thing I don’t like about the Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette is the glitter fallout that tends to fall and land under my eyes and cheeks. But this is a problem with most glitter eyeshadows whether they are from an expensive luxurious brand or inexpensive drugstore brand. The only way for me to prevent this problem is too apply a dewy/sticky thick layer of eyeshadow primer and face slightly towards the ceiling. If you are wondering, I use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, and don’t let it get dry, I apply the eyeshadow immediately. Another con is that the palette itself gets super glittery everywhere, but it is not really a problem.

Pros of Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette In The Nude:

  • Extremely pigmented.
  • Long lasting.
  • Glossy/wet appearance.
  • Affordable price.
  • Great neutral selection of colors (would not need 10 different palettes to complete a look).

Cons of Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette In The Nude:

  • Glitter fallouts elsewhere on the face.
  • Palette gets messy with glitter fallout.

Overall, I really love this product; if I have ever run out, I would definitely repurchase it. For the price, it is a great deal, definitely worth every single dollar. In the future, I would definitely buy Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palettes in different colors. I would recommend this to anyone who loves neutral but glammed up eye looks. Each of the ten eyeshadows is beautiful, pigmented, subtle and great with any look.

  1. Nice review! I have this palette. I know it can get pretty messy, but I end up talking very little amount on my brush – and build it up from there 🙂
