Today’s review will be about a mask I purchased from Sephora Times Square, NY. As I sit down to pen down my thoughts on this, I am fondly reminded of the beauty wonderland Sephora is for all us IMBBians. Here is the review of a sleeping mask that is meant to energize your skin overnight.

My Experience with Sephora Pomegranate Sleeping Mask:
The packaging is lovely and handy. The mask comes in a small plastic tub. It is similar to the capsule masks of Innisfree. I feel these masks are very handy for people who travel a lot or have long-haul flights. This mask comes encased in a red cardboard box with all details beautifully printed. The tub has a proper seal, which has to be torn open to reveal the gel like contents inside.
The texture of the mask is gel like. In fact, it a lightweight non-sticky gel which has a faint but pleasant scent. It looks reddish in the tub but comes almost clear on the skin.
It’s very easy to apply the mask and the quantity is enough for two uses. I would recommend slathering it on your face and neck and storing the rest in the refrigerator for future use. There is a nice cooling sensation upon applying the mask. It doesn’t really get absorb very fast, so you can feel a residue on your face. I applied it at around 10.30 pm and kept it on for around 2 and half hours. I washed it off just before bed as I simply cannot sleep with anything even slightly sticky on my face.
As per the claims on the Sephora website – in a test on 22 volunteers, after 21 days of use: 100% felt skin is toned and 100% felt skin is invigorated. This small mask costing 4 dollars will last two uses hardly, hence you might need many of these masks to completely test these claims. However, it makes skin plump and fresh in one use. If you have tired skin that is showing signs of pollution and stress, you can try one of these. It can energize and rejuvenate skin and add freshness.
The effects last for a day or two. If you have a mid-week event and don’t have time to prep your skin, apply this overnight and wake up to fresher skin sans dullness. Also, for flights where your skin can tend to be patchy and dull, you can leave it on for the entire journey and wipe it off just before landing to look absolutely radiant.
