Anyways, talking about Indian beauty and festivals also reminds me of those adorable beauty products which totally work like charm on our personality. Our Indian attire is incomplete without pop up of lipstick and kajal what say? I am also incorporating new shades in my kit for upcoming make over and today I share one such new entrée in my kit which is not my oh so favored lipstick but the shade certainly pairs well with Indian as well as western attire. So, let’s begin with Sephora collection rouge cream lipstick in seduce.

What it does: A revamp of the iconic Sephora Lip Attitude Chic, this new hydrating formula provides improved coverage and is rife with pigment. The creamy texture softly glazes your lips, imparting just the right amount of color and sheen.

Packaging: This lovely carnation pink beige lipstick is enclosed inside sturdy black bullet packaging. It does not have any significant fragrance, over all it seems quite travel friendly and user friendly packaging.

My take on Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick in Seduce:

I am not very impressed with texture of this lipstick; I loved this pink shade though. “Seduce” seems carnation pink with slight mauve undertones to me unlike beige pink (as per their website). It is perfect summery shade which looks quite subtle yet is intensely pigmented to hide minor lip flaws and pigmentations in just one swipe. However this shade is tricky to work with as at times it gives me slight tanned look while sometimes it totally jazz up my pale skin surprisingly! It gives semi-matte finish with slight creamy texture for few hours which dries out to slight powdery residue within 5-6 hours which then need touch ups as it certainly look bothersome. The trick is to swipe it gently with minimal strokes, the more I swipe it the more it tends to look cakey and looks tricky on my pale skin.

As I told initially, I am not very pleased with its texture which seems fine for initial 2-3 hours thereafter it settles down in lip crevices and dry patches which is certainly not recommended for long hour wear. It glides easily on my lips and melts down to give bright pink creamy sheen on my lips within half an hour of wear I can see that it smartly conceals my light lip pigmentation but after few hours I feel like my lips are craving for hydration irrespective of using lip balm beneath this lipstick. Thankfully it does not irritate or accentuate dry areas other than setting on dry flaky patches sometimes. As soon as I rinse off the shade my lips regain moisture level. It has amazing staying power of as long as 5+ hours with minor transfers on cups/cutlery apart from surviving light meal and water/tea snacks. It does not bleed or feather around lips area, it stays put for good hours and I wish it could have been little more hydrating to get my love and attention. It might work well for beauties with naturally soft, supple lips including gals with pigmented lips but it is serious skip for all gals who are blessed with dry, chapped lips. It is not recommended for winters either as it’s already drying on my lips even in summers!

I love this shade, I love how rich pigmented the lipcolor is and I also like its staying power though the formula is big nay for me. I already own sexy game from this range and I can see that in due course of time (I own it since sept 2013) their formula becomes more drying as I feel same issue with previous shade now. I think I am done with sephora rouge collection. I would like to skip it unless they come up with rich moisture shades.

Pros of Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick in Seduce:

• An intense pigmented subtle carnation pink shade with slight mauve undertones which is apt for summers
• It gives opaque color pay off in just one or two swipes without buzzing off or feathering around lip area
• It does not bleed even after using lip balm beneath the shade
• It stays put for good 5+ hours even with light meals and water/tea break
• It is perfect for beauties with naturally soft supple lips as it gives semi-matte yet creamy finish thereafter drying a bit to give powdery matte stain
• It is suitable for beauties with pigmented lips as well
• It is fragrance free
• It would not irritate our sensitive skin other than setting in dry patches after sometime
• Quite affordable, travel friendly packaging

Cons of Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick in Seduce:

• The shade is tricky for most Indian skin tones even I feel the same sometimes
• The texture is big disappointment for beauties with dry, chapped lips even after tempting list of ingredients
• It might look cakey after few hours of application irrespective of scrubbing our lips or using lip balm beneath the shade
• The formula is not excessive drying on lips but it certainly looks drying and uneven after sometimes
• Not recommended for long hour wear
• We cannot skip lip balm or lip gloss while working on this shade
• A big nay for winters

Over all I feel it has all good qualities of decent lip product such as impressive long staying power, rich color pay off as well as non feathering and bleeding formula only if its texture could have been slight more nourishing. Personally it’s skip for me and I would like to rate it 3/5 considering overall performance and texture.
