Nowadays, a trip to Sephora seems incomplete without trying out a few lipsticks. There are so many brands and colors that every day is a discovery in terms of colour, texture, packaging etc. The lipstick that I am going to review today is from the in-house brand of Sephora. Let us find out all about it.
The packaging, when we talk look-wise, is very good. It has a big matte black cover for the entire lipstick, but the problem is that it is not very travel friendly. They could have easily made the packaging more compact, but instead they choose to make a big bulky cap for this tiny lipstick. In fact the cap is bigger than the lipstick itself! Not very clutch friendly I tell you.
My Experience with Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick R-19 Charmer:
I had been looking for a nice n*de lipstick for quite some time now, but I had no luck. I tried almost every high-end brand in Delhi. I don’t know why but I like to buy my lipsticks from premium or luxury brands only. I somehow feel that their colors are beautiful and are not found in drug-store brands and the packaging of course is to die for, but I settled for Sephora on this one though.
Anyway, coming back, I could not find a n*de lipstick that would suit me perfectly. Most of the brands had n*de lipstick that suited only fair skin tones or were too brown or too pink for my liking. And then one fine day, when I was not even looking for a n*de lipstick, I stumbled upon this one. I tried it on and it was perfect! Not too pink, not too brown, not too beige! Imagine my happiness.
Let’s now talk about the various aspects of this lipstick. The texture of the lipstick is quite smooth. It isn’t too creamy or too matte. The lipstick is also very kind on the lips. I didn’t experience any pulling or tugging on the lips when I applied it, neither was it drying on the lips. Although I did notice that it accentuated the fine lines on my lips just a little bit.
Coming to the color it is, as I told you, just the perfect shade of n*de for my medium skin tone. The color doesn’t wash me out, nor does it look very unnatural or brown. The staying power is also decent i.e. around 4-5 hours, but eating and drinking even a little bid can fade it. Oh and before I forget, the color pay-off is quite good too and you can build up the colour very easily. I didn’t notice any feathering, but there is some colour transfer. It also fades quite evenly leaving a beautiful pinkish tint on the lips which looks so raw and gorgeous. The colour is really pretty and a great everyday colour, especially for college or office going women.
Summing up the pros and cons:
Pros of Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick R-19 Charmer:

- Limited availability.
Would I Repurchase Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick R-19 Charmer?
Well most probably yes, but again it’s all relative, if a better colour or a better texture comes along, I will go for it. But for now, I have come across my MLBB lipstick shade.
I know how difficult it is to find a perfect n*de shade especially for the Indian skin tone! Go and give this one a try you never know, you might hit the jackpot.
