Shahnaz Forever Dry Hair Shampoo Review

Shahnaz Forever Shampoo for Dry / Damage Hair

After I had a pleasant experience using the Shahnaz Hair Oil from their Forever range, I decided to try their shampoo for my dry hair & bought the Shahnaz Forver Shampoo for dry/damage hair. They have shampoo for Normal Hair as well at the same price. So here’s my take on the product.

Shahnaz Husain Forever-Shampoo

What does the company claim about this Shampoo: Specially formulated for cleansing of dry and damaged hair, it helps to restore the oil and moisture balance of the scalp, bringing back health to the hair. Containing extracts of aloe vera and rosemary oil, it nourishes and strengthens the hair, adding body and shine.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Wet hair and apply. Massage gently into the hair and work up lather. Rinse off with water.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Aloevera Juice,Cocodiethanolamide, Sodium Chloride, Glycol Distearate, Polyquanternium-67, Glycerine, Niacinamide, Dimethicone copolyol, Parfum, Phenoxyethanol, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, DL-Panthenol, Methylisothiazolinone, MethylChloroisothiazolinone, Rosemary Oil, Honey.

Price: Rs.65 for 100ml

My Experience: I liked the hair oil from the forever range & wanted to try the shampoo, so this time again I bought the 100 ml bottle instead of the 200 ml. My intention of buying this shampoo was to get a product that cleanses my scalp & doesn’t lead to hair fall & this shampoo hasn’t disappointed me at all. The color of the shampoo is pearl & the texture is very runny. The mild fragrance of the product is something that attracts me, because heavily scented products don’t work for me & result in huge hair fall. I dilute & use the shampoo, & it rinses off easily, removing all traces of oil & grime, so this will last for a while. I will continue using this because it’s worth the buy.

Pros of the Shahnaz Forever Hair Oil:

• Cleanses the hair well, makes the hair manageable.
• Adds shine & nourishes the hair.
• Has a very mild herbal fragrance, not too-overpowering.
• Just need a small amount to work up a good lather, so this 100ml will last for a while.
• Reasonably priced at Rs.65 for 100ml.
• No irritation, itchiness, hair fall or discomfort experienced.

Cons of the Shahnaz Forever Hair Oil:

• It weighs down the hair, doesn’t add any volume.
• The shampoo isn’t moisturising enough to be used alone, a conditioner has to be used.
• Some people may not like it because of the presence of SLS.
• Packaging is unattractive.

Will I repurchase this? Yes I will, it gently cleanses my scalp & doesn’t result in any hair fall, I can take care of the moisturising part with a good conditioner.

Will I recommend this? Yes, this is a nice herbal shampoo which doesn’t result in hair fall & is very mild.

  7. Hey Uzma, Nice review. 🙂 Iam new to IMBB. I have curly unruly dry hair which frizzes out a lot.Its thick and voluminous but cannot make out any hairstyle from it unless its wet. 🙁 🙁 I have been using head and shoulders (smooth and silky ) shampoo with Loreal professional absolut repair masque as suggested by a salon. Can I use this ? or could i go for any other shampoo which works on dry hair?IMBB guys please recommend.
