Yeah, I know, you might be thinking what in the world made me pick such a product? You know, curiosity sometimes can lead to disaster.  I picked this hair mascara from Kozhikode and at that time I thought I could create wonderful golden streaks in my hair using this, hmmm…..let’s get directly into the review now.

My Take on Shahnaz Husain Hair Mascara Golden Girl:

Let me tell you about the packaging first, this hair mascara comes in an usual mascara tube.  The wand is what you get with usual eye mascaras.  The product itself is a copper-toned goopy stuff that smells very pleasantly of something herbal.  The texture of the product is kind of pasty with fine shimmery particles that glisten under light.  Though the color is labeled “Golden Girl,” it’s does not look even remotely gold.  At the time of purchase, I couldn’t open up the packaging and that’s why got tricked into buying this color.

I tried applying the coppery stuff on the hair, but it just creates a shimmery copper mess on my hair and does not create pretty streaks, it just looks very trashy and combing it through the hair also doesn’t help.  The overall effect looks pasty and you know, not good and definitely not what you expect.  In fact, if you run the brush a few times over the streaks, the color vanishes.  One good thing is that it washes off effortlessly from the hair and does not leave any shimmer, glitter, or color behind.  Also, since it claims to be made up of herbal ingredients, it’s safe on the hair.

Coming to whether it conceals grey, I don’t have grey hair, but the way it applied on my hair, I don’t think it can do much, and I am strictly talking about this particular color.

I don’t know about the other colors in this range, but this one is totally a flop.  If you wanna check out this hair mascara, insist on opening up the packaging and check up the color and consistency.  You definitely would not want to waste Rs. 500 on such a product.  One sincere advice, never pick it up from an online store, chances are that you would be disappointed.
