Shahnaz Husain Herbal Sindoor Review

Shahnaz Husain Herbal Sindoor Review

Hi Everybody,

As I told you, we have a new female member in our family, so all three of us girls (me, mum and bhabhi) have started sharing our makeup excitements with each other. This sindoor we ordered online and I heard mum and bhabhi saying “I will use it, no I will use it” when I jumped into the scene to say “I will review it” 😛  Okay, so now both of them have used it and here is the review.

My Experience with Shahnaz Husain Herbal Sindoor:

This comes in a tube and sponge applicator kind of packaging and the tube comes in a different shape unlike others which I have always seen around.  I do not exactly know whether it is glass or plastic, but anyway, I cannot see whether the product is going down or not.

It has a screw cap like opening. My bhabhi has been carrying it around in her handbag and it is completely spill proof. The sponge-foot applicator is very sturdy and is not going to ditch the user in any way. The consistency of the sindoor is like a thick cream which is pretty good because I have seen them applying sindoors with runny saucy consistency, which is hard to handle. You have to be careful while applying, and not apply a very thick layer as it will take time to set, and then will spread too. At the same time, when applied in a thin layer, it sets quickly and does not budge from its place.

Talking about the shade, it is a rich, creamy maroon and is beautifully pigmented. From the swatch, you must have guessed how rich it is and both mom and bhabhi have gone crazy using this product. It otherwise does not have any smell, but if you closely sniff, it gives a plant-like fresh fragrance which is quite nice. It does not irritate the skin.

It stays put the whole day unless removed but the trick is to apply it in a thin layer and do not rub your hand over it. If you apply in a thick layer and rub it unknowingly, it will smudge. At the same time, it is not completely waterproof. You spill water over, it will not budge but after that if you touch or rub, it will come off.

The best part I like about Shahnaz Husain’s products is that they are made of completely natural ingredients and do not cause much harm to the skin.

So overall, both the girls love it for its color pigmentation, its creamy texture and other things too. It goes in their “favourite’s” list.

Pros of Shahnaz Husain Herbal Sindoor:

  • Very pretty shade.
  • Amazingly pigmented.
  • Creamy texture.
  • Smudge proof if applied in a thin layer.
  • Stays put whole day long.
  • No smell as such.
  • One of those very few Shahnaz Husain products which are cheap 😛

Cons of Shahnaz Husain Herbal Sindoor:

  • If applied in a thick layer and if rubbed unknowingly, it will spread.
  • Not completely waterproof (by the way, the girls in my home do not want it to be waterproof).

IMBB Rating:

4/5.
