Shahnaz Husain Moisturising Cream Review

Shahnaz Husain Moisturising Cream Review

Hey everyone,

After much thought, I decided I should take a small break from writing reviews on perfumes alone. So, after much pondering, I zeroed down on a beauty treatment from Shahnaz Husain – Moisturising Cream.  Shahnaz Husain products have been used in my family from ever since I can recall. From my grandmother to the cautious teens in my family rely on Shahnaz Husain products for our beauty concerns, especially for its “le naturel” sans side effects treatment. Shahnaz Husain has been around since 1970’s and is reputed for going the successful herbal and ayurvedic way of treating beauty problems. My mother is a loyal customer of this brand ever since her teen days and that has trickled down to me. She started using this moisturising cream a few years back and has ever since urged me to, but I always went for the rich aromatic international brands which did no good to my really (I can’t tell how much I am stressing on this) dry skin. Fortunately for me, I accidentally happened to smear this cream on my face; lo and behold, I just felt it melt into my skin and ever since I have been using it regularly.

They claim it to be the most flexible moisturising treatment for all skin types, easily absorbed by skin providing maximum nourishment.

My Take on Shahnaz Husain Moisturising Cream:

Shahnaz Husain Moisturising cream comes in a 180 gm, dome-shaped white jar with a golden lid priced at Rs. 1260/-  The cream in itself is golden in colour (allegory for the golden glow it gives to the skin) and has a very faint aroma. The cream is silky smooth and is not remotely greasy, but has a very good moisturising capability in comparison to other creams given the fact that I have a pretty dry skin. It has expiry duration of 2 years.

Components of Shahnaz Husain Moisturizing Cream:

It is a natural herbal formula enriched with dates, honey and rose water distillate. This provides maximum nourishment and the rose water helps in the healing process of the skin and holds the moisture intact, while the honey gives the much needed glow and dates aid in softening the skin.

Ingredients:

Aqua/Water, parrafinum Liquidum, rose water, stearic acid, Cetyl alcohol, glycerine, glyceryl stearate, emulsifying wax, Isopropyl myristate, Dimethicone, saccharide isomerate, Triethanolamine, parfum, phenoxyethanol, tocopherol, honey, phoenix dactylifera extract, methlyparaben, diazolidinyl urea, Iodopropynl butylcaarbamate, propylparaben, Cl 15510, Cl 19140. (That’s one lengthy chemical jargon).

The cream is very silky soft which spreads with super ease on the skin and moisturises it throughout the day.  An added feature is that, it is nowhere close to greasy as is the case in most of the creams which are soft. The subtle fragrance that the cream gives out makes it easier to be applied on the face and yet not feel overpowered by it.

Since it is super silky and spreads easily, a big nut-sized blob of the cream is more than enough to cover the face and neck, this definitely is a brownie point as it makes the cream last long. The difference is seen within weeks of its usage, the skin becomes softer, blemishes fade away and it radiates your skin beautifully.

Pros of Shahnaz Husain Moisturising Cream:

  • Natural and Ayurvedic, chemical free.
  • Extremely silky smooth cream which enables spreading very easily.
  • Since just a small blob of cream is needed to moisturize daily, it lasts longer than other creams.
  • Hence it is a wise and sound investment.
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • Moisturises all through the day.
  • Subtle aroma which makes it one of my favourite.
  • Long shelf life of 2 years.
  • Complete nourishing treatment.
  • Hydrates the skin thoroughly.
  • Difference can be seen within two weeks of usage, radiating skin.
  • Easily available all over India and online (discount offers are available too).

Cons of Shahnaz Husain Moisturising Cream:

  • The packaging could be better making it easy to hold and carry.
  • Some might find it overpriced, but it’s worth every penny as it lasts longer (for months) and does its job perfectly.

All said and done, I have been using this product long enough and reaping it’s benefits, so this is a must-buy for every woman.  It is a great investment and will definitely take care of your skin in the long run as it is chemical free and does not cause any side effects to your precious skin. Finally, this is an internationally well-known Indian cosmetic brand, so we definitely need to get our hands on Shahnaz Husain products and make it even better known around ;). Have a great day and let yourself glow.

  1. Wow… I’m really interested! the chemical jargon is a little intimidating…. but somehow even with my oily skin, i need very moisturizing creams (not greasy)…. This seems to hit the mark by your review. I will definitely want to sample this one. Great review. Thanks!
