Shahnaz Husain Shaline Herbal Eyeliner Review

Shahnaz Husain Shaline Herbal Eyeliner Review

I bought this eyeliner 6 months ago, it was a random purchase. This is my only product from Shahnaz Husain.

Shahnaz Husain Shaline Herbal Eyeliner Review

Product Information:

A herbal liner which will not just line up your lovely eyes but also take care of it. Shahnaz Husain’s Shaline is specially developed from herbal ingredients like Phyllanthes emblica, Terminalia chebula, Almond, Neem, Camphor and Castor oil. It assures no drying and flaking like other normal eyeliners because of the fantastic herbal ingredients. Alongside the beautiful make up effect, the Almond also works on accelerating the growth of those beautiful lashes and maintains the lush growth.

Key Ingredients:

Indian Gooseberry, Camphor, Myrobalans and Almond Oil.

Price:

Rs. 370

My Experience with Shahnaz Husain Shaline Herbal Eyeliner:

This one gives a deep black color, but note that there are deeper black eyeliners in the market.  It has a smell similar to rose water, which might be due to some of the ingredients.  Since only the key ingredients are given, I am not sure about this.  The unique feature of this eyeliner is its cooling effect, which I have never experienced with other eyeliners. Shahnaz Husain eyeliner imparts a cooling effect comparable to ice.  The applicator is not bad, but not great also.  It is a normal eyeliner brush and better than the Lakme one, but Lakme‘s high precision liners with felt tip is much better I feel.

What I Like about Shahnaz Husain Shaline Herbal Eyeliner:

  • It’s a nice black color, suitable for everyday wear.
  • It has a cooling effect which I love and that’s the best part.
  • You just need water and soap to remove the liner, it easily comes off.
  • It never irritated my waterline.
  • Shahnaz Husain products are easily available.
  • Applicator, i.e., the brush is also good.

What I Did Not Like about Shahnaz Husain Shaline Herbal Eyeliner:

  • I wish the color was a little deeper.
  • It’s not waterproof, so gets messed up easily.
  • The cap is a mess, it has screw tight cap which tends to leak.
  • Spending 375 on a normal eyeliner doesn’t seem prudent.

IMBB Rating:

3.7/5

Will I Recommend Shahnaz Husain Shaline Herbal Eyeliner?

If you like to have a glossy black liquid eyeliner, which has some cooling herbal ingredients and which also smells of rose, you can certainly go for it, but this one is not a must-have in your vanity bag.

Will I Repurchase Shahnaz Husain Shaline Herbal Eyeliner?

Only if I they reduce its price. It’s definitely a good eyeliner, but Rs. 375 is a little too much for it.

  3. Visakhi..

Thanks for the review.. I need an eye liner and have been considering it. But I am afraid it might leak and I travel a lot. And the cooling effect is because of the camphor that it contains. Great review..!

  4. nice review.. i remember that elle 18 also used to be cooling on eyes..and it was dirt cheap 😉 .. i have used only liquid ones… after lining the lower lash i use a pencil over to to smudge it…now seeing all thse gel eyeliners.. i have to get one.. :balle:

    1. ife, i have used elle 18 and i knw its nice.. but this one has an unique cooling effect.. something like ice i felt

cooling effect that sounds good.. but Rs.375 for an eyeliner that is not even waterproof.. :methinks: :methinks: :nonono: :nonono: :nonono:

  7. Visakhi I used to love SH Kaajal some 6 years ago it was just for Rs.125 then..and I used to apply in on my upper lid waterline used to splash water on face while it was on and it didnt budge at all.. but some recent reviews I read that it does smudge.. and now there way too many good options avail in the market.. :pompom: :pompom:

  8. I got this in pepperfry.com for my sign-on points. Actually i wanted a Mascara but they send me eye liner. I tried it and liked it for the cooling effect. Its staying power is poor :quiet:

Visakhi My eyeliners cap is tied and slippery cos its a metal one and u did not mention the mirror :preen: I liked it :pompom: On the whole its a lovely review Visakhi

    1. Thanku shajeela
i thnk liquid liners sthe staying power depend on the type of lids,i have oily lids.. so i cant comment on it.. i use eyeshadow before applying, so it satys around 4 hrs on me, but on my frnds eyes without any eyeshadow it stays for more than 6 hrs :waiting: :waiting:
yea, i never used that mirror , thts y i didn’t mention in it, but it makes the packing a bit better..

  9. nice review visakhi..    . yes the colour could be more dark and its really difficult to find a good liner with a good brush. :specs: :specs: :specs:
