Shahnaz Husain Shasilk Matte Moisturiser Review

I have tried a lot of Shahnaz products and most of them have done a good job on my combination skin. Since childhood, I have heard a lot about Shahnaz facials and her products, and that they are really good but a little expensive. So, whenever, I buy any of her products, it makes me feel good. This product of Shahnaz Husain’s that I am going to review should be ideally used along with Shabase.  It can be used on its own as well, but I mix it with Shabase, which has been reviewed by me already here.

My Experience with Shahnaz Husain Shasilk Matte Moisturiser:

I always struggled with acne on my combination skin. The first time I tried Shasilk was 3 years ago when I had lots of acne.  It helped me a lot in overcoming the acne. Whenever I apply this cream, it gives me a smooth feeling. It gives a complete matte look and after a few applications, I felt soft skin. It helped me in controlling oil.  I could use it easily in summers and in winters.  I use it during the day only.  In winters, it dries up the skin a little bit.  Actually, my skin gets on the drier side in winters.  So, I put a little bit of moisturizer on the dry patches near the nose and around the lips.

As it claims that it is especially created for oily and acne-prone skin, it definitely helped me in controlling acne and oil. I used it regularly for 6 months and some other stuff from Shahnaz and I had clear complexion.

Quantity:

I must say that one needs a tiny bit of Shasilk, so it lasted for a pretty long time.  I use it during the day only every day and it lasted me for good 4 months.

Price:

Rs. 525 for 40 gm.  I got it at a discount at Rs. 446 from online. I love online shopping 😛

Pros of Shahnaz Husain Shasilk Matte Moisturiser:

• This is appropriate for oily/combination skin with acne.
• Gives a matte look.
• Does give soft skin.
• Helps in acne control.
• Smell is nice and herbal, not too strong.
• The jar lasts for long.
• I love the packaging, its quite fancy.

Cons of Shahnaz Husain Shasilk Matte Moisturiser:

• Its a little bit on the pricey side.
• To get optimal results, one has to use it with Shabase.
• The jar is not very travel friendly as a few times, the cream leaked while I was travelling with it, which resulted in wastage.

Final Verdict:

Oily and combination skin ladies with acne must give it a try!
