My Take on Shahnaz Husain Shatex Plus Texturising Protein Mask:

I have combination and acne-prone skin. Regular clean ups is the only solution for keeping my skin clear and glowing. After getting some clean ups done at parlours, I thought of doing it all by myself since I felt the procedure too easy.  After cleansing, steaming and exfoliating, I thought of applying any face pack to get the total salon effect. In the parlour, they were using SH products and that’s why I ended up buying this pack even though it was expensive.

Shatex 4

To be frank, it didn’t do anything at all. It dries off too fast and it didn’t give me any glowing or smooth skin.  I heard so many positive reviews about this product, but for me it did nothing.  I don’t know whether this is exceptionally my case, but I recommend all dry skin beauties to stay away from this!

Shatex 5

Pros of Shahnaz Husain Shatex Plus Texturising Protein Mask:

  • I can’t find any. Only positive about this mask is that it did not break me out.

Cons of Shahnaz Husain Shatex Plus Texturising Protein Mask:

  • Expensive.
  • Dries off too fast.
  • Did not impart any glow as it claimed.
  • Strong citrus smell.

Will I Repurchase Shahnaz Husain Shatex Plus Texturising Protein Mask?

No never ! 😀

  1. Its sad to hear it doesn’t work for you.. Coz this one really works good on me. Although I’ve never liked SH product, this product is an exception and has a permanent place in on my shelf.
I too have acne prone combination skin.
Really improves the skin texture and give a subtle glow, regular use shows the effects (I use it mostly on alternate days). Since it is very thick, I usually mix it with some rose water and then apply it.
And yes, I know of a few ppl, on whom this product totally worked, even on removing facial chicken pox scars in a month..
Its true, one product works on some and is a dud for others.

  2. I can’t imagine it didn’t work for you. It works wonderfully on my skin every single time. I just keep forgetting it to use though.

  3. Am I the only one who eagerly thought this is a product for nourishing the hair before starting to read the review ? 😛
