Shalife Skin Nourishing Treatment

Shalife Skin Nourishing Treatment

Hello Everyone!!!!

Shalife nourishing skin treatment

I am back again with a Shahnaz Husain product for review. I am doing this review on behalf of my mother-in-law. She gets her normal parlour chores done by a lady who comes to our place. That lady just offers us her services and all the beauty products are ours, nice naa! Sometimes, I also get a few things done by her.

Okay! Let’s start the work. I got this “Shalife” for my MIL for massage during facials. She has crossed 50, and has dark spots under the eyes, near the eyes, and on the jawline, although there aren’t any visible wrinkles. She has normal to dry skin. It has been about 3 months since she has been using this cream for the facials and also sometimes at night. She is one lazy being when it comes to using beauty products at night. She usually has high sugar levels due to which she has irritable skin overall (face, neck and body) and skin rashes on the face (sometimes).

Price: Rs.530 for 60 gm.

What the Company Claims:

Indications:
(As on website): A luxurious night cream, which helps the skin look younger. It slows down the look of ageing . It also helps to moisturize and refresh dull, dry skin, reducing the appearance of age spots and skin blotches. Works as an efficient emollient.

(As on pack): The formulation removes skin eruption and burning sensation. The cooling property of the cream helps to remove abrasion, itching and irritable skin condition.

Method of Use (on the pack):

After cleansing, massage it into the skin, using upward and outward strokes. Leave on for 5 minutes. Remove with moist cotton.

Ingredients (on the pack):

Tulsi Ark 2.0%, Chakramard beej ext. 1.0%, Khas distillate 5.0%, Malti pushp tel 0.25%, Mom 15.0%, Tankana 1.0%, Base q.s. to make it 100%.

(I don’t know why but I am always doubtful of the packs stating “For sale in India only, Not for Export.”  This line somehow makes me feel that either the product for sale in India is of inferior quality or vice versa, product to be exported is of better quality. Anyway, that’s my personal opinion).

My MIL’s Experience With Shalife Skin Nourishing Treatment:

She seems to be pretty happy with the product. Massaging this cream makes her skin look wonderful, and it does become supple and soft after the facial and this softness and glow stays ON for a few days. Her spots, blotches and rashes reduce to a  noticeable extent when she uses this regularly at night, but since regular use has breaks too often, she is yet to see a remarkable change.:(

Also, she doesn’t remove it with moist cotton at night and yet doesn’t feel the heaviness of the cream. (She has normal to dry skin).

My Take on Shalife Skin Nourishing Treatment:

I have used this quite a few times just because I just love the smell of Shahnaz Husain products! My facial skin is normal to combination skin, which becomes dry and stretchy on the sides of mouth and jawline, in winters. I have applied this usually at night and I also do not take the pain of removing it with moist cotton. I just apply it and sleep. Although, I feel it a bit heavy while sleeping, but it makes my skin super soft, glowing, and supple in the morning, and yes, I notice a positive change in my under eye darkness everytime I use this. 😀

I just love my skin, but since I do not like the heavy feel daily, I do not use it daily.

Swatch

The quantity shown here is sufficient for my face, neck, back of hands and both elbows.

Pros:

1) Makes skin fresh, glowing and supple in the morning.
2) Helps me with my under eye darkness.
3) Has a typical ayurvedic smell (I love it!)
4) Very little quantity needed, you can actually massage your face with a tiny amount.
5) Sturdy flip cap.

Cons:

1) Feels heavy on the skin, might not be suitable for oily skin beauties and some might not prefer it because of its heavy feel.
2) Pricey.
3) Oversized (not travel friendly).

IMBB Rating:

3.5/5.

I guess normal to dry skin people can give it a try this winter. Good Luck!

Would I Repurchase?

Yes for my MIL (so that I can keep using it occasionally).

  8. Hi Uma! Well depends on your skin type. I have got a combination skin – slghtly oily T zone and rest face skin normal. If that is your skin type or if you have a DRY skin you can for sure give it a try! Good Luck!

  9. hi , Its the best cream for doing massage . I have combination skin which is on oily side . I massage with it and then use a wet cotton pad to remove excess cream and then give steam to face . after that apply a multani mitti pack . my skin gets new life after every use ….this is best to be used in winters …..
