Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Style Milk Review

By Keerthi M.

Hello ladies,

I will be reviewing a hair care product today. I have a never-ending list of hair products. I will be reviewing a leave-in conditioner/styling cream from the brand Shea Moisture. Like any other Shea Moisture product, this style milk too is free from parabens, mineral oil, sulphates, paraffin, and synthetic colors.

My Experience with Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Style Milk:

The product comes in the regular bottle packaging with a nozzle dispenser, which is easy to use. The product is creamy white and smells great, it smells so much of coconut. The fragrance lingers around for a few hours. This style milk is very creamy, not greasy, and doesn’t weigh down my hair. I am glad that it is not like a gel and that’s why not sticky. It spreads out on the hair very easily and gets absorbed fast.

My hair tends to look dry when I wear it natural as I usually skip conditioner (I know it is bad!). So, I was looking for a cream-based product to style my hair that wouldn’t weigh my hair down. This product can be used more as a curl cream as I usually add a tiny bit to my dry hair before blow drying and it reduces frizz and helps in easy detangling.

I run it along my hair, then comb and scrunch my hair, and voila!, I have soft, natural looking, and defined curls. My curls looks bouncy and natural. Also, the curls stay put for the whole day. Very little product is enough each because using more has made my hair look greasy sometimes; a single pump would be enough for my shoulder-length hair. I have stopped using hair gel or mousse after using this product. The downside of the product is that it results in product buildup if the hair is not washed properly the next day. It has never been a con for me as I shampoo my hair on alternative days.
