My Experience with Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Mud Mask:
This face mask by Shea Moisture come in a glass, round jar with a screw on lid. The sticker on the packaging is in soft brown color and has a detailed description on it. This range includes cleanser and hair products and so on. This face mask is light grey in color since it contains bentonite clay and appears really dense in the jar, it applies smooth on face and spreads evenly in a thin layer – most Shea Moisture face masks have similar consistency. It does not sit on face like a thick layer of plaster of Paris or feel uncomfortable.
This face mask contains biodegradable and naturally-sourced ingredients. It contains water, kaolin and bentonite clay base and all the essential ingredients are mixed in this base. To add moisture to the mask it contains Organic Shea Butter, glycerin, jojoba seed oil, rosehipo seed oil and Avocado oil. It is enriched with Myrrha resin extract, frankincense extracts that condition dry skin and add moisture to it.
This mud mask claims to deeply purify and infuse skin with moisture and softening the premature signs of ageing. It contains rich sources of moisture that hydrate skin and soften fine lines and wrinkles. Olive Leaf Extract and Avocado deeply moisturize skin with proteins. This mask is meant to nourish and add moisture to skin and it did do that. Most clay mask dry me out and I avoid using them for that reason, but this mask did not dry down to an unwashable layer of clay.
Upon application, it feels cool on my face and the sensation lingers till the mask dries down completely, which takes around 10-15 minutes. After rinsing off, skin appears clean, fresh, and not dry at all like other clay masks. I like wearing this mask, it cleans my face, hydrates it, and I am sure in the long run, it will show more long-term benefits. This mask shows results similar to applying a toner infused mask on face that adds moisture to skin instead of leaving it dry and parched. I do recommend Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Mud Mask to dry skin people like me.

- Some people might need to test it for the nut oil allergies and that is true for most of the shea moisture products.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Hydrating Mud Mask?
I like face masks by Shea Moisture and I recommend this product to those who are on the lookout for a clay-based mask which is moisturizing instead of drying and can an extra dose of moisture to dry skin. It is easy to wash off my face and leaves it clean and hydrated. It is a good change from the regular clay mask, it is easy to use and non-messy. I do recommend this product to others and is definitely worth a try.
