I love to try out new body scrubs all the time and recently, I picked up the SheaMoisture Zanzibar Marine Complex Replenish and Rejuvenate Body Polish. The marine ingredients sounded pretty exotic and also the fact that SheaMoisture uses only natural organic ingredients was a reason why I decided to try this out. Read out to find out how the product fared.

My Experience with SheaMoisture Zanzibar Marine Complex Replenish and Rejuvenate Body Polish:
Packaging: The body polish comes in a huge opaque teal-colored plastic tube. It has a screw on cap which fits quite tightly. The tube is a bit bulky and not exactly travel friendly.
Texture/Fragrance/Performance: The first thing that you notice about the body polish is the amazing fragrance. Though I cannot really pinpoint what this smell is, I am assuming it is coming from one of the marine ingredients. It is a very fresh exotic smell which surely lifts my spirits. But it is a slightly strong fragrance. The fragrance lingers on the body for about 2 hrs or so before fading away.
The body polish has a medium thick cream-like consistency. It spreads easily on the skin, but it does not lather much. The exfoliating crystals are very tiny and do not feel abrasive on the skin at all. Actually, I am not sure how much effective they are as they are just too gentle for my liking. I like my body scrubs to be a bit grainier maybe those with sensitive skin will enjoy it this gentle.
The body polish does clean the skin well and leaves you with a clean, fresh feeling. The skin feels nice and soft. I did not find the body polish to be hydrating, but it did not dry me out either.
To summarize, for me, this product functions like a body wash with an amazing fragrance and some really good organic ingredients. But, it is not effective as a body scrub.
