My Experience with Shiseido Instant Eye and Lip Makeup Remover:
The product comes in a translucent plastic bottle with a nozzle dispenser on top to dispense a few drops of products when the bottle is tipped over. The volume of the bottle is 125 ml and it is sturdy, leak proof and travel friendly.
This micellar water has a short ingredient list and apart from oils and polymers that are meant to break down, this product contains skin hydrating and moisturizing ingredients as well. It has a water, cyclomethicone, butylene glycol and alcohol base. It also contains Xylitol which retains essential moisture in the delicate eye and lip areas. This product is meant to gently break down and remove waterproof and long-wearing eye makeup and liquid lipsticks.
To use it, shake the bottle well to mix the oil and the water-based ingredients and dispense the homogeneous suspension on to a cotton pad. Saturate the cotton pad and hold in place over eye area or lips for a few seconds and then wipe off the makeup from in gentle sweeping motion. This makeup remover does remove water proof makeup and liquid lipsticks without leaving stains on skin. I found this micellar water most efficient among all the micellar waters I have tried from different brands, at removing makeup and although it is so expensive it does live up to its claim.
I use this cleanser the same way as I use every other micellar water. I take a few drops of this product to remove my eye makeup and use it on my waterline and it works just as well without irritating my eyes and that is impressive. This micellar water is efficient at removing my eye makeup, liquid lipstick, eyeshadow on my eyelids, mascara and the color on my eyebrows. I do not recommend using this product to remove face makeup because it will most likely clog pores and cause acne.
It does not irritate my eyes or tingle my lips, certainly leaves the delicate area around my eyes and lips hydrated and moisturized. I recommend this product to others especially to those who often wear dark, heavy eye makeup or waterproof eye makeup. This cleansing water is a simple, efficient and nutrient rich to cleanse our eyes and lips.
