Hello IMBB beauties,

My limit to high-end brands was MAC and it would have been a mental block for me if I was not supported by IMBB to lay my hands on higher brands to try and review. For me MAC was THE best cosmetic company before I discovered Shiseido. I am addicted to the cream liner that I have already reviewed on IMBB and I must say they make lovely stuff and have a huge variety of products ranging from skin care to cosmetics. Today, I will be reviewing a cult favorite range Perfect Rogue Tender Sheer in the shade BR503. This particular shade is a new launch and surprisingly some of them have names and some have only numbers.

Price:

Rs. 1800/- for 4 gm.

Packaging:

Totally, a luxurious packaging. The tube is metallic red in color which looks really gorgeous. The lipstick comes in a paper box packaging with the ingredients and other details mentioned. As I already said, there is no name to this particular shade.  The shade number is mentioned on the sticker pasted at the bottom of the tube. The shape of the tube is also unique, it is curved square which makes the packaging all the more desirable. There is only one drawback and it’s that you cannot identify the shade from outside. If you have more than one lipstick from the same range, you have to remember the shade name/number and store them inverted.

Finish:

BR503 is a super creamy lipstick. Though the formula says tender sheer, the shade can be built upon on multiple swipes. It is highly moisturizing and soothes chapped lips almost instantly. I must say it is a really forgiving formula and will stay creamy for a pretty long time and not lose the creaminess in a while.

Pigmentation:

I will not say that it is very pigmented, but it will definitely cover pigmented lips in one swipe. If you wish to build on the color, you can apply multiple swipes. In that way, the real color of the shade shows up. Also lining the lips play important role in the pigmentation of the lipstick.

Staying Power:

Although the lipstick is sheer in formula and is very creamy, it does not disappear like other creamy lipsticks. It has an impressive staying power and if properly lined, the lipstick will stay on for a very long time. It has survived small munches and drinks for me. One important aspect of the staying power is, although the color leaves after a few hours, the moisturizing effect stays on. It works amazingly well on dry chapped lips to soothe and condition them.

My Experience with Shiseido Perfect Rogue Tender Sheer Lipstick – BR503:

Some shades are like love at first sight for me and this is one such shade. One swipe was enough for me to decide that if I have to pick one shade from the galore of lipsticks, this is the one. This gives such a polished look to the face that a very tired sleepy face looks pepped up with this. Also, I have worn it on bad skin days and this is enough to add the required brightness to the face. I can keep on singing praises about the lipstick in general and the shade in particular.

It’s  the right mix of peach pink and brown that would be universally flattering to all. I have applied this on my mom as well and she rocked it too. The creamy glossy look is an added advantage because you can totally skip the gloss when you put this on. One more advantage of this shade is you can tone down super bright shades with this. This has found a permanent place in my makeup pouch and I am loving it to the core. This is THE best lipstick in my collection in terms of texture and shade; all thanks to IMBB for this pampering.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Shiseido Perfect Rogue Tender Sheer Lipstick – BR503?

I don’t think I will be able to finish this up very soon, but I will definitely try more shades from this range.  I recommend this to all skin tones, all ages, kindly check this color at the store, next time you plan to pick up a high-end lipstick.
