Product Description:

A creamy, rinse-off facial mask formulated with Marine Mineral Clay to absorb dulling surface sebum and impurities. It will leave skin visibly refined and refreshed. Reveals a radiant new skin for a more youthful look.  Contains a unique combination of highly-porous Marine Mineral Clay, kaolin, and powder ingredients to absorb surface sebum and impurities and minimize the appearance of pores.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Kaolin, Alcohol Denat., Butylene Glycol, Talc, Dipropylene Glycol, Bentonite, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Stearyl Alcohol, Behenyl Alcohol, PEG-5 Glyceryl Stearate, Xylitol, Trioctanoin, Phenoxyethanol, Xanthan Gum, Trisodium HEDTA, Silt, Fragrance, Isostearic Acid, Lauryl Betaine, Eucalyptus Globulus Oil, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides.

Price:

$30 for 75 ml 3.20 fl. oz. (I purchased this last year and I think it was for around INR 2000, not sure).

How To Use:

Apply to clean skin once or twice a week. Smooth a generous amount over face evenly avoiding eyebrows, hairline, eye and mouth areas. Leave on 5 minutes and rinse off thoroughly. After use, balance and moisturize the skin.

Packaging:

The mask comes in a simple, thick, glossy white tube packaging with a flip cap.

The tube does not carry much details, ingredients list, price, etc., but everything was printed on the outer carton this tube came in.

My Experience with Shiseido The Skincare Purifying Mask:

I returned with horrible skin (badly tanned + loads of breakouts), from a holiday in summer last year, so I picked up a few skin rescue products from the Shiseido counter at the airport itself. This mask was one of my purchase.

It’s a ready to slap on face mask, though I find the consistency to be a little thick and I prefer to dilute it before applying it or I just massage it on my damp face so that it spreads better/evenly.

This is one “fabulous mask” and I love how it works on my skin.  The mask is somewhat creamy (as in smooth) and spreads easily (but it’s not a hydrating/moisturising mask).

Shiseido Face Mask 2

It carries a faint, pleasant fragrance which is not overpowering/ bothering at all.  I apply a thin layer of this mask and just need a coin-sized amount for my entire face. It takes about 5 minutes to dry off completely.

Generally, clay-based packs (the ones with Fuller’s Earth) are recommended for oily skin, but my skin does not get along well with them, since it’s more of combination, just slightly oily. I find this mask just perfect for my skin, leaves my face squeakiest clean (removes all dirt/grime/greasiness) and does not dry out my skin bad like most clay-based packs. As an immediate result, I see that it makes my skin super clean, fresh and bright. Also, it does work wonderfully on pores, reduces them and tightens the skin (and gives me some deep pore cleansing like feel). The effects last for about a day and I am pretty fine with the fact.

The mask is a must-have for my skin on any bad skin day as it instantly revives it up.  When used regularly, it also reduces tan; however, I cannot comment if it can reduce acne or breakouts as I have never used it on them (I prefer a fresh face mask of neem and tulsi in that case).

I used this tube very often in summers last year, like 2-3 times in a week and I am still left with almost 1/4th . I have started using it again now and it is still intact, hasn’t dried up at all. I am going to pick another one undoubtedly! I agree that the price of the product is on the higher side, but one tube lasts for really long/many applications. Also, I never get facials done at salons, so I prefer to indulge/invest in good quality skin pampering products.

Shiseido Face Mask 4

I would always repurchase this mask and I would love to recommend it to fellow combination skinned ladies.

  • Leaves skin extremely clean and clear.
  • Brightens up my skin.

The Bad about Shiseido The Skincare Purifying Mask:
