How are you all doing? I had a busy yet nice time and that kept me away from IMBB. But as a kid always comes back to the comfort of home am back to IMBB with a lovely product review. I cannot thank the IMBB team enough for this wonderful opportunity of picking up sponsored products for review. This month I got lucky again and picked up the cream liner from Shiseido in the shade black. I have always wanted to try something from this brand owing to its lovely packaging and efficacy that I have heard about.

Packaging:

I can go on endlessly about the packaging. Let’s start off with the outer paper carton that is purple toned. It is like a marble print with waves of purple and creamy white. All required details are written on the outer carton along-with the shade no. Once you open it you will see the cute tub of cream liner inside with an applicator which is positioned well on top and guarded with the incision on the flip of the carton. You can refer to the picture for better understanding.

Coming to the tub, it is a plastic pot with lid, with the name Shiseido written on top. The pot is pretty light unlike the other gel liner available in the market which are mainly glass pots. The shade number i.e. 1 is written at the bottom so that it can be identified easily if you store gel liner upside down like me.

Other than the brush part, I have heard everybody in all praises about gel liners. I must say you have not tried Shiseido if you are complaining on the brush part of a gel liner. Firstly it is strategically placed so that it stays in place inside the carton. Secondly it has an outer plastic wrap so that it does not collect scratches. Thirdly it comes with a lid and hence you need not worry about staining other brushes or make-up stuff after using it on the go. And finally it is superbly cut brush that does its job just perfect. It is neither too thick nor too thin, you can draw lines as per your will. And also it is moderately stiff helping to give the proper definition to the line drawn.

Texture:

Raise your hands with me if you do not like your gel liner to be too creamy that it fails to give the right pigmentation. I belong to the category where my gel liner has to be a little less than gooey so that it shows the best of pigmentation on the lid. Though the name says that it is a cream liner, I will like to call it a “wax-liner”. It has exactly the consistency of wax which slightly hardens after melting off from a candle. You simple cannot dip the brush and apply. You have to glide it on the surface of the liner and draw the line. I am completely awed by the pigmentation that it gives in one single stroke. And I believe it is the texture that adds on to the depth of the pigmentation.

My experience with Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Cream Liner – Black

I got the lovely opportunity to pick up this cream liner from Shiseido and I could not be happier on New Year. I picked up the shade black as I already have the brown from Mac. I have been using this almost every single day since I got this and I have made a clear opinion how this performs on my sensitive eyes. I have worn this on the waterline and upper lash-line for more than 8 hours and it stays as long as I do not remove it. On the waterline it does fade a little but does not disappear completely. On the contrary I have to struggle to remove it from my eyes even with a makeup remover. Only down side that I could find was that it takes a while to settle but once set it does not smudge at all. Just the deepest darkest black of the lot and goes on to a semi-matte finish. I am addicted to this as of now and this is the only black am wearing these days.
