Sunscreen is such an integral part of my skin care routine. I can skip wearing makeup, but never sunscreen! The more I have experimented with drugstore sunscreens, the more I have learnt that I always have some or the other issues with them. So, I finally decided to take the “high-end route” for sun protection for my face. Today, I am going to share my thoughts on the Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector SPF 42, let’s get started:

My Experience with Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 42:
Packaging: The product comes packaged in a simple cardboard paper box with all the details of the product mentioned on it. The product bottle is a nice and compact tiny bottle with a sturdy screw cap, and shaped like all other sunscreens by Shiseido. The opening of the bottle is really tiny which dispenses a little product in one go, so there is no fear of any sunscreen being wasted. It can be easily thrown into the purse while travelling. All in all, good packaging!
Color and Texture: The sunscreen is a white-colored super runny liquid, but thankfully, it does not leave any white cast on the face. The consistency of the liquid is like water and feels very light on the skin. It is neither greasy nor hydrating by any means. I have super oily skin and I use this baby directly after applying my day cream as a sunscreen and it works wonderfully. It gets absorbed into the skin really well and can be easily worn under makeup as it does not let the face sweat like a pig! It is a no-nonsense sunscreen.
Smell: There is absolutely no fragrance to this sunscreen which is a great thing because of two reasons – no added fragrance means no added chemical and sensitive noses can enjoy a fragrance-free sunscreen.
Quality: Overall, I would say that this baby is just awesome! I cannot find one bad point about this sunscreen except the price. But I believe, that’s fair for a product that comes with such quality ingredients and brand faith! Even during the really hot days, it prevents my face from any sunburns or rashes and provides good sun protection.

- Pricey (not a major con considering the quality).

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 42?
Absolutely! If the steep price tag does not bother you, then I would highly recommend this sunscreen to all, even men because everyone needs sun protection. This is a great facial sunscreen and shall always be a part of my skin care stash because finally I have found a sunscreen that has no fragrance, is hydrating, contains good SPF, does not leave a white cast, and does not make me sweat! What else can one ask for from a sunscreen!
