Today I will be reviewing Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser. I have a blemish prone, combination skin and I have found that thick moisturizers clog my pores and lead to more breakouts. When I came across this moisturizer, which claimed to give ‘healthy clear skin’, I decided to give it a go. If you would like to know my thoughts on this product, then please keep reading.
My Take on Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser:
Let me start off by saying that I love this moisturiser. Honestly, I did not have very high hopes from it because I have tried a lot of moisturizers and none of them have really impressed me. However, this product made me really happy and I have already repurchased a second one.
The product comes out as a white, opaque cream, but it definitely does not feel thick or heavy. I love the texture of this moisturizer, because it is very light and does not leave my skin feeling oily or greasy. It does not leave any residue and blends into my skin easily. Since, it is not greasy and does not clog my pores, I get fewer breakouts with the use of this moisturizer.
I need to apply quite a bit of moisturizer on the dry areas of my face, since I have a combination skin. But, this is perfect if you have an oily skin because then you would need a small amount of product to cover your whole face. As this is an oil free lotion, I definitely would not recommend it for dry skin types.
I like applying this in the morning and in the evening, however I am still yet to find a good oil free moisturizer that contains SPF, as all the SPF moisturizers I own break me out.
This product also has no scent to it, which makes it perfect for sensitive skin. The only problem I have with this product is that if I rub it into my skin too much, it starts to flake off slightly, but other than that I have no issues.
Like most simple products, this is also a very affordable one and due to its small and compact size, it is super travel friendly. This product has a number of claims and I can attest to some of them. It definitely helps to absorb excess oil and it also mattifies my skin. The texture of this product also reminds me of a primer, as it leaves my skin texture feeling a lot smoother. I also do think it helps to reduce blemishes as I have noticed that I breakout less when I wear this moisturizer.
However, I do not think that it helps to keep my skin matte all day as because my skin still gets oily by the end of the day but having said that, it definitely helps to reduce the amount of oil on my face.
Pros of Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser:
- Travel friendly.
- Light texture.
- Does not clog pores.
- Great for sensitive skin.
- Prevents break outs.
Cons of Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser:
- Can flake if rubbed into the skin too much.
Would I Repurchase/ Recommend Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser?
Yes. I really like this moisturiser and I wish I had discovered it earlier. If you have oily, blemish prone skin then definitely try this out. I am sure it would not disappoint you.
I am now on the hunt for an oil-free sunscreen, since I have hyper-pigmented skin. It is best to wear sunscreen when you are out, as the sun can darken the hyper-pigmentation. If you know any great ones, please let me know.
Thanks for reading my review and I hope to be back with another one soon.
