For best results, in your hands, work a small amount into a lather. Massage onto wet skin, rinse with water. If wash gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

When I came here, I just got Pears face wash thinking I will use it up and throw it away and come back. Also, I chose the regular Pears as I knew it would be dry here, but like always, I end up buying more stuff than I travel with in the first place 😛 and so, I bought this one, as this was available at the closest Sainsburys for groceries, where I used to go often.

Initially, I thought that this was some local brand with big claims that was reasonably priced. At 3 pounds, I got a huge heavy tube and a really fragrance free and colorless face wash, which was such a pleasant change from the regular ones back at home, which don’t seem to think about the needs of sensitive skin, which may be even more irritated with all the colourful, soapy, perfumy face washes. I thought that this one from Simple was such a respite; ideal for oily skin too because oily skin produces more oils on the surface to rectify the dryness. Twice or thrice a day cleansing with something gentle would be really good for my oily skin considering I am mainly indoors and not exposed to any dust and sun here in England.

My Experience with Simple Kind To Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash:

Despite the long list of chemical ingredients, I was determined to use this considering this has no color and perfume. I have been using this on days that I don’t wear makeup like foundation or powder when I don’t need thorough cleaning. Initially, I thought due to the dry weather here, I always need a moisturiser after this, but contrary to claims, it is NOT AT ALL moisturising. Boy oh boy! this product really dries my really oily skin and its not the weather as that is not the result with other face washes of mine. Its true that this one is not perfumed and is colorless and does look sensitive, but its not at all moisturising. Then, I tried using it in a very little amount and it gently lathers up into a soft foam, but nothing worked to eliminate the dryness. It led to stretchy dry skin :nono: I was so disappointed as this turned out to be like some acne-clearing wash. No doubt it would not irritate skin, but you definitely need to follow it up with a moisturiser for any skin type whatsoever, I am not impressed!

Rating:

1.5 on 5 (so much for the claims!!) it may or may not work for non-oily skin types.

  1. The name is so appealing ..’Simple-kind of to skin’ but made your oily skin dry :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali:

PS : Can u suggest some nice moisturizers for oily skin ,non-firangi types  Fall is approaching ,and skin going dry dry :((

  2. I had got one simple facial foam and one face scrub from Boots and I promised to myself I’d never buy their products ever again. It was an utterly useless facewash that didn’t lather up despite it being called a facial foam, and did not remove any dirt or grime, took gallons of water to get off the skin, and had a medicine like bitter smell…eww…I could never managed to convince myself to use it … :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: I would never recommend it to anyone ever ..

I won’t buy this…ever! …I hate face washes like these…fancy claims in the name itself, that are not delivered. :hunterwali: :hunterwali:
