Simple Kind to Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream SPF30 UVA/UVB Review

Hi everyone!

I’m back with another review for you all and this time it is on the Simple kind to skin+ protecting moisture cream with SPF 30.

I’ve tried several Simple products before and I’ve really liked them, which is why I decided to buy this product. Since it is summer and the weather is hotter, it is important to keep protected all the time. Exposing yourself too much to the sun and not protecting yourself properly can be very unsafe so adding SPF to your skincare routine is an important and crucial step. As you all know, too much exposure to sunlight can damage the skin and also accelerate ageing of the skin. So remember, always keep safe in the sun!

Claims– Our Protecting Moisture Cream SPF30 is a perfect blend of multi-vitamins and skin-loving ingredients with SPF protection to give dehydrated, tired and dull skin a boost of hydration while protecting it from UVA & UVB rays. The light texture absorbs quickly into your skin to rapidly replenish moisture levels for up to 24 hours. Perfect even for sensitive skin.

My take on the Simple Kind to Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream SPF30 UVA/UVB:

There are a number of great things about this product. Firstly, the product comes in a bottle with a pump, which I like because it is hygienic when dispensing out the product and also there is less mess. It also means less wastage of product because only small amounts are pumped out.

The product comes in a 50ml bottle, which means that it is small and compact and also travel-friendly. The price of this product is affordable too; it is only £4.99 which is a bargain compared to many sun creams on the market.
This sun cream also has SPF 30, so it offers a pretty high level of protection. The product does have a fragrance to it, a slight floral scent is how I can describe it, but it isn’t too strong. It also has a number of beneficial ingredients such as glycerine and sweet almond oil, although if I’m being honest, I don’t think they add much to the product so these ingredients don’t actually do much to the skin.

This product claims to have a light texture but I actually find that the texture and consistency is quite thick and opaque. I like to slowly build up the amount of product on my skin by putting a small amount on my face, rubbing it into my face until it has been fully absorbed and then adding more until I have the desired amount on my face.
I don’t put the desired amount on all at once because it is very difficult to rub into my skin since the consistency is so thick and it also leaves a white cast on the skin.

Unfortunately this sunscreen does tend to leave my skin looking pretty greasy and oily throughout the day and it feels pretty uncomfortable on my skin. I have found that it leads to breakouts on my skin because it is so thick and clogs my pores. However, I would also like to note that everyone’s skin is different so just because this product doesn’t work for me, does not mean it won’t work for you. It’s always worth giving a product a go and this product isn’t expensive at all, so it’s not like you’ll be wasting a lot of money if it doesn’t work out.

Pros of Simple Kind to Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream SPF30 UVA/UVB:

  • Affordable
  • High SPF
  • Comes with a pump
  • Travel-friendly

Cons of Simple Kind to Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream SPF30 UVA/UVB:

  • Leaves a white cast on the face
  • Difficult to blend into skin
  • Can cause breakouts
  • Leaves skin looking greasy and shiny

Would I repurchase Simple Kind to Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream SPF30 UVA/UVB?
No

I really wish this product worked for me but I just don’t like the feeling of it on my skin; it’s too thick and leaves my skin feeling extremely greasy. It also leads to breakouts. I’m still looking for my holy grail SPF, I still haven’t found one yet but I hope to find one that goes well with my skin.

  1. It says UK’s No. 1, hence I was expecting awesome results.. I already have a sunscreen which leaves a white cast behind, I don’t need a moisturizer that does the same..

  2. Oh no! Simple products are so good usually. Sad that this one has so many issues. Nicely reviewed, Abbyramy! 🙂
