During the winter months,it is fantastic at combating flaky skin and preventing / healing chapped lips or dry skin around the mouth area. However, for those who have more sun around them, they will know that there are consequences, such as sun burn. You’ll be pleased to know that Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream contains SPF 50 (high protection) and you can safely use it on sunburn, although, like any other cream, I would always recommend doing a patch test when using a new product. I have also tried applying it sparingly on my entire face (avoiding contact with the eye area) and leaving it on overnight, to wake up with extremely soft, smooth skin the following morning.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream can be squeezed into a tub and mixed together with a lipstick or lip stain to create a gloss, without getting the sticky residue like most brands. Other makeup uses for the product are to squeeze a very small amount on your fingertip and dab a couple of dots on either cheekbone and on your brow bone, to create a simple yet sleek highlight to your makeup. This is great when you are opting for a very natural, dewy finish. If like many girls, you do not particularly like a glossy, creamy looking lip, this product does wonders for having a matte finish lip and dabbing a dot on your lip’s cupids’ bow for the illusion of a fuller mouth. The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is also great for unruly eyebrows, using a dab of the product on a clean spoolie brush; you can simply smooth your eyebrows into place for long lasting tidy brows.

Price and availability:
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream at first instance seems fairly pricey, costing approximately £22. However, compared to other lip balms / chap sticks, the price is justifiable considering its multi-purposes, high quality and long lasting consistency. The availability of Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is definitely improving, as I have noticed it is becoming much more widely available it most department stores, airports, online stores and high street chemists.

My final verdict on the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream:
I cannot get enough of the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, I have been purchasing it for several years and I will continue to re-purchase. I think it has been absolutely great for getting rid of my eczema on my elbows, knees and fingers – I am completely cured! Not only has it kept away dryness during the colder months, it has been a great product to use on sunburn, especially when I have visited hotter countries like Dubai and Mexico. The first few times I used it, I found the smell over-bearing, but once I saw noticeably rapid results, I didn’t dare to put the tube down! No matter what country or continent you are reading this from, there is space for this miracle product in your handbag!
