Skin Care Product Reviews : Revlon, Clean & Clear, Parachute

I’m kinda new here..so firstly i’d like to thank all IMBB members for providing this wonderful place for all makeup beginners (like me).you all have no idea how addicting and helpful this place is..

Also I’d like to mention here that on my post ‘fashion tips for plus size women’, I was asked a few questions in the comments which I couldn’t reply to at that time because I got busy with exams. But I answered all of them a few days later so if you guys want to, you can check the post again.

Ok this post is going to be about a few products that I have recently started using.

I’ll start with the Clean and Clear Skin Balancing Moisturiser Oil Free Lotion..that’s a long name!!

What the cover says: the 100% oil free formulation balances the skin moisture and soothes the dry areas. Also helps in blemishes.
My Experience: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product.. I have combination skin type and this suits me to a t! Its non greasy but very moisturising. It keeps my face moisturised throughout the day and I don’t have to use it again. It comes in a long bottle with a nozzle and blue cap on top. Its consistency is not too runny but still not thick. It works fine under compact. It is very easy to carry and has a nice subtle fresh fragrance. But it does not have any SPF. So I have to use a sunscreen separately. Its from Johnson and Johnson which is a trusted brand world over. It is very reasonably priced at rs.80 for 100ml bottle. Also available in 50ml bottle for rs40. Will happily repurchase it all my life.

Next is Hamdard’s Roghan Badam Shirin:

What the pack says: 100% pure sweet almond oil. Strengthens brain and nerves, is a nutrient, improves body strength and removes constipation in a natural way. It

• Relieves tension
• Strengthens brain power (the pack mentions this twice, so it better ☺ )
• Good for heart
• Relieves constipation
• Fights dandruff
• Keeps body warm in winters
• Nourishes skin
• Prenatal/ post natal care
• Helps build stronger bones
• Good for infants.

How to use: 5-10 ml to be taken with 250 ml milk at night. And apply externally on head and instill 2-3 drops in the nose and ears
My Experience: Ok I have used this product for a while now and I have to say that it works. I use this product as a hair oil only. Its not very sticky. It doesn’t smell bad like other hair oils. Although I haven’t noticed any extraordinary sheen in my hair but my hair does look healthy. The damage due to heat on my hair is definitely less visible now. I have smoother hair.

Almond oil adds lustre to the hair making them healthy. I have been told by a dermatologist that almond oil is suits all skin types. So no need to worry about how it will react on your skin type. Sweet almond oil is one of the most popular essential oils used in aromatherapy. Pure almond oil can be used as carrier oil in aromatherapy and various types of massage therapies. Also almond oil is known to lighten dark circles.
It comes in a glass bottle of 25ml for rs75.

Revlon touch and glow Advanced Fairness Under eye Repair Cream

What the pack says: ok honestly I have thrown away the pack. But the tube says:

• Fades away dark circles and spots
• Reduces puffiness
• Moisturises and brightens the eye area

My Experience: Its been more than a month now that I have been religiously using this product, twice a day. And sadly I haven’t seen much difference in my dark circles. The texture is creamy and takes time to seep into your skin. It does create that stretchiness for some time after it is applied. This is the first product that I have used for my dark circles and it didn’t work . 🙁
My friend uses this product as moisturiser on the eye area before using eye primer and it works for her. But I guess you don’t need to buy the product for just that.

It comes in a tube with a nozzle making it easy to use and easy to carry around. This tube of 15gm costs rs140. I am definitely not buying this again.

Parachute Advansed Therapie Hair Vitaliser Hair Fall Control, Root Healing Complex

What the Pack says: an oil based vitaliser that heals damaged roots and controls hair fall.
Ingredients: Coconut oil, mineral oil, isopropyl Palmitate, Isopropyl Myristate, vegetable Protein Mix, Sorbitan Oleate, fragrance, Herbal blend (Hibiscus, Amla, Brahmi), Mineral blend (zinc, Copper), Vitamins E and B

My Experience: I found this to be very effective. My hair fall problem is not hereditary. So I dnt know of this will work for someone with hereditary hair fall problem. I use this twice a week and it works fine. I have noticed less hairfall even before 45 days. It is not as sticky as the normal parchute oil. However it has a very strong smell which I HATE! but as long as this is working for me I will keep on using it. ( so much for good hair!)

It comes in a 190 ml for Rs190. The packaging is nice and convenient to use.
