Skin Food Everyday Green Tea Facial Mask Sheet Review

SkinFood is the 1st food cosmetic brand developed in Korea and believes that food that is good for health is good for the skin too. I got this mask from a friend who had been to South Korea. In her words – “Use this whenever you need to feel pampered.”

My Experience with Skin Food Everyday Green Tea Facial Mask Sheet:

I like mask sheets for relaxation and pampering as opposed to any beauty benefits that they may give.  This is not like one of those cheap sheet masks that are rough and don’t sit properly on your face. It is made of pure soft cotton. It is extremely wet and soaking in the serum; to the extent that SkinFood advises us to use the leftover liquid in the packaging on to our face and neck for therapeutic properties. The serum is not at all sticky.

The mask is thick and doesn’t slip or slide, and fits properly around the eyes and nose. It dries after about 15 minutes and sits on your face for as long as you want it to. It has wavy designs on it and it’s the first time I am seeing engraved masks as opposed to the usual plain ones.

I applied this on for about 15 minutes. The smell is absolutely divine. It is amazing. I could drink it up! It doesn’t smell very strongly of green tea which I assume I wouldn’t have enjoyed so much. It has this pleasing, calming, lovely, perfume-y fragrance that completely relaxes and soothes you.

The serum is quite chilling even when not refrigerated and I think that makes it perfect for that bit of relaxation you want in between a long bus or train journey. This mask felt good and my face felt nice afterwards – hydrated yes, pampered yes, brightened maybe not. I did follow it up with a moisturiser, but I doubt that is required.
