Concealers are like diamonds, a girl’s best friend.  Two aspects of makeup that caught my attention were highlighting and contouring, they work wonders! I am a newbie to these concepts and thought I should try doing it with concealers first and then go in for a contouring palette.

The concealer comes in a matte black pen style tube with a click-it knob right at the bottom of the tube. For the very first use, one has to click it many times for the concealer to come up on the applicator brush, but after that, it takes only 2-3 clicks. The brand name is written in a glossy black print on the tube. The shade number is mentioned on the cap. The concealer tube is packed in a cardboard carton.

My Experience with Sleek Makeup Luminaire Highlighting Concealer:

I was always attracted towards women who would make their facial features look so sharp. I started learning the technique and although it looks very easy, the most difficult part, I believe is to find the right shade to contour. I have seen many youtube videos and almost everyone recommends to use two shades darker for contouring. So, I ordered this Sleek Makeup Luminaire Highlighting Concealer in 03 which seemed a tad bit darker than my skin tone, at least on the website. Shopping for concealers online can be very tricky though.

This concealer comes in a click it pen style tube with a very soft applicator. The shade being reviewed is 03 and this concealer is available in 5 shades. I feel this one has a slight reddish undertone. Since my objective of buying this was to contour, I selected a darker shade.

The bristles are extremely soft and can be used easily for the under eye area. The consistency of the concealer is thick and creamy and not very watery. I personally think that due to the thick consistency, one has to use fingers to even out the application and if brush is used, then it tugs a bit.

Also, a lot of product remains on the brush causing wastage. This one seems to dry faster and hence one has to work on it immediately. Initially, it does take a few clicks for the concealer to come up on the applicator, but afterwards, one would need only 2-3 clicks.  I have swatched the product, but have not blended it completely so as to show the shade. This one gives a subtle contouring effect which I am in love with.
