My Experience with Sleek Matte Me Rioja Red Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream:
Packaging: This one comes in a classy matte black outer packaging. The actual product comes in a transparent rectangular tube. The wand is nice and long with a doe-foot applicator. The applicator makes it very easy to apply the lipstick on the lips. The packaging is convenient and travel friendly.
Color/Pigmentation: “Rioja Red” is a beautiful orangish-red lipstick. It will show up slightly different on different skin tones and lip colors. On me, it shows as slightly more orange than red, but on my hand, it shows more red than orange. The pigmentation is very intense. You only need one or two coats of the product to achieve bright bold lip. When it’s wet, you can layer the lipstick up, but you really don’t need to because there’s so much pigment already.
Texture: I won’t really call it a lip cream because the formula isn’t that creamy. It has more of a gel-type finish. It’s a proper liquid lipstick. It dries quickly and settles to a 100% matte finish. Even on well-moisturised lips, this feels dry on the lips initially, but later, you do get accustomed to the feeling, so it won’t feel that dry.
Staying Power: It stays on the lips for a very long time. I had a very heavy lunch and it stayed put throughout the lunch and even after I came home, there was enough pigment on my lips. This lipstick needs a proper makeup cleanser/remover to remove it off because it sticks to the lips like glue and doesn’t come off easily unless you use a nice cleanser. It stays up to 6 hours without fading.
Smell: It has some fragrance to it, but I don’t like it. It has floral and vanilla fragrance but the combination of it doesn’t go well with my nose, but then, it hardly lasts any longer than 5 seconds.

Cons of Sleek Matte Me Rioja Red Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream:
- Not so easily available.
- Initially feels a bit dry.
- It’s not a lip cream per say as it isn’t as creamy in texture.
