I have always bought all my makeup and skincare products after reading reviews of them on IMBB (since 2 years now). Last month, I saw Smashbox BB Water in the Sephora store here in India. The first thing I normally do (many times in the store itself) whenever I see a new product which matches my requirements is to check out the review on IMBB! I could not find the review for this product here (first ever product I could not find :o), so a new idea emerged into my mind of taking a risk of buying it and reviewing it on IMBB and…And Taa Daaaa!!Let’s see how this BB water scored for me…

My Experience with Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water SPF 30:
The bottle is made up of sturdy glass with a black dropper which has press button on top of it. I liked the kind of dropper, helps to get out only the required product and is very hygienic. We can see through the shade of the cream because of glass packaging. The quality of the glass used is very good, I had dropped it once, but thank goodness, it was as is without any damage ☺
There are 7 shades available in India namely: Dark, Medium/dark, Medium, Light/medium,
Light/neutral.
There are lighter shades like light and fair too but not available in India yet. I was very confused between the two shades i.e. medium/dark and medium because in the store’s lighting, both looked similar on my skin, but at the end, I picked “Medium” for my dusky skin tone.
When I tried this BB water on my face in “Natural Light,” it turned out to be a darker shade for me. It has more pink undertones to it and I have yellow undertones and that may be the reason for the mismatch. Women with yellow undertones can apply a little bit yellow banana powder to set it (it helps me match this BB water to my skin tone).
This product can be used both as bb cream with sheer coverage and also as foundation by building up the product to get that “full makeup look.”
The product is very liquid-y but still gives a very good amount of coverage, especially with a beauty sponge. Because of the liquid consistency, it blends like a dream into the skin. It also hides pores fabulously and looks as if I have naturally healthy skin 😉 which is the main reason we want to use bb creams!
The finish of the product is semi matte. I have oily skin but after putting the BB water, my skin looks dewy and fresh for up to 4 to 5 hours. After that, area around my nose looks a bit shiny, but doesn’t look dull or anything.
Staying power of the product is around 5 to 6 hours after which it starts to fade maybe because of the oil that my skin produces :/. When you touch your skin, it doesn’t transfer to your fingers at all and gives a very satiny feel.
Your skin will look plumped up, trust me on this ☺ You can use it as your daily bb cream for a fresh look every day, I use it daily for my office and weekend outings, and it has never caused any breakouts on me.

- The shades in this range have more pink undertones to them.

I would totally recommend Smashbox BB Water, but be cautious while choosing your shade.
