Smashbox has to be the best company in the world for makeup, literally. It’s dominant in the fashion and photography industry, and probably even the acting industry. All stars, models and singers wear Smashbox because not only has the brand been running for a long time, but their items are 100% trust worthy and you know for a fact that the money you spend towards an item is definitely worth it. I have yet to come across a problem with this brand!

So this was the very first time I actually bought an item from them. I ordered it online – I believe there was a sale going on at Sephora. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to buy but then I came across their limitless 15 hour wear eyeshadow, they had six or seven shades to pick from, but I decided to go with Topaz. That’s because it would be the best shade to work with. You can create a neutral look or even a dramatic look if you mix it in with a darker colour. The options are endless when you pick a somewhat nude color.

I have to admit, there are more pros than con for this item, but that is only because it’s smashbox. Smashbox tries to deliver perfection, and they do a very good job at it.

Pros:

Packaging: I absolutely love the packaging used for all smashbox items. It comes in a black box, the box has an image of the product on the outside. Once you open the package, you find a small circle container with a black container. The container says smashbox and it looks very elegant. It’s probably the neatest and classiest packing you will ever see. You can also view the product from the glass container, unlike other brands, Smashbox reveals the product through the glass container.
Product:

The product itself is a cream eyeshadow, and I love it so much. Cream eyeshadows are probably the best you can get. Although I have many non cream based eyeshadows, I have to say there is a huge difference between the two. Cream is easy to apply, you just have to warm it up a bit by rubbing it between two fingers, and then apply it on your eyeshadow brush. It makes the application process way easier and your eyes will look way defined with cream eyeshadow. Another positive to using cream eyeshadow is that it definitely lasts longer than other eyeshadows, and you don’t have to worry about it disappearing even after you apply your primer.

Amount of product: The amount of product is very generous. There is a lot, I can say that this eyeshadow can last me anywhere from one to two years, depending on how much I use and whether or not I use it on a weekly or daily basis. Smashbox put a really big amount of eyeshadow in the container and I am really surprised, but I guess they have to put that much since you are paying a good amount of money for their products.

Cons:

Again, just like any other product, I guess the only real con would have to be the amount of money you have to spend in order to purchase such glamorous items. It is definitely worth buying, but spending twenty dollars for one container of eyeshadow is just a bit too pricey. Sometimes, you can find sets of eyeshadow, where they have four or more eyeshadows in a set for a really cheap price, like twenty dollars. I guess next time I will look out and see if they have any of their gift sets on sale!
