Smashbox Pout Be Legendary Lip Gloss Review

Hello loves,

How are you all doing? Today I’ll be reviewing the Smashbox Be Legendary Lip Gloss in Pout. This gloss has been mere disappointment, even though I loved Disco Rose from this range. Read further to know more about this gloss and how it has fared.

My Experience with Smashbox Pout Be Legendary Lip Gloss:

Packaging:
The packaging of this lip gloss is something that I really like, as it looks quite elegant to me, while being very durable. Chunky lip glosses have always managed to grab my attention. I like how you can carry them around in your bag and the chic black packaging looks great. The color shows through the transparent bottom. The name of the shade is written on the bottom of the tube. The doe tip applicator is, again, huge and holds a lot of product, a lot more than you need.

Color:
Coming to the color, I don’t like the color at all. It is a pastel pink with blue undertones; it looks nearly white on my lips and is very noticeable. I just do not like how it turns up on my lips, making me look like an alien. When swatched on my hand, I felt it would show up more on the lips but it turned out to be the opposite. This shade “Pout” is definitely not suitable for Indian skin tones. However, I feel if you are really fair-skinned and if you apply it correctly, it would look great. It smells good though, somewhat like sugarcane.

Color Pay-Off:
Even though, this is a sheer color, it does show up on the lips pretty well. The other shade, Disco Rose, could easily be layered, but this one felt a little lumpy. You need a mirror to apply this because the happy-medium of the gloss is pretty difficult to find.

Texture:
I wonder, if it’s just me or if anyone else has noticed that this gloss is quite sticky and when applied gives an uneven look. I didn’t have problems with other glosses I tried; this one just didn’t work for me. If you apply too much of it, it looks really sticky and quite unappealing. It is one of the stickiest lip glosses I’ve ever tried; it takes a lot of time for application and turns out disgusting on the lips.

Staying Power:
The moment I wore this lip gloss and looked at myself in the mirror, I was like, “WHAAAAAAAAAT?”! I looked that bad, so I couldn’t stand wearing this color for longer than 6 minutes. However, it did moisturize my lips and that lasted a decent three to four hours.
