Hope you all are doing great. I was on the lookout for a new concealer recently, and when I tried the Smashbox Studio Skin 24 Hour Waterproof Concealer, I fell in love with the formula. So today, I’m going to review this waterproof concealer. Let’s get started with the review.

This concealer camouflages imperfections with light-diffusing spheres without creasing, caking, or settling into skin. It gives skin medium-to-full buildable coverage that’s waterproof with 24-hour wear. This creamy, hydrating formula is sweat-, humidity-, and transfer-resistant—no touch ups needed. Ideal for all skin types, it pairs well with the Studio Skin 15 Hour Hydrating Foundation.

How to Use:
– Apply anywhere you see imperfections, including the under-eye area.
– Tip: it can also be applied to the lip line for added definition.

My Experience with Smashbox Studio Skin 24 Hour Waterproof Concealer:

This concealer comes in the standard liquid concealer packaging – a clear plastic tube with a typical wand and a doe foot applicator. This is an easy-to-use packaging, but the doe foot applicator doesn’t pick up enough product and I have to go again and again to pick up the needed product.

There is also an outer paper carton with the product details. The packaging is travel-friendly and of great quality. This concealer comes in 10 shades, which is not massive – just an average shade range. Smashbox is well known to carry out shades that are more on the yellow undertone side, which means that tanned girls – like us – will most certainly find a shade. I chose the shade ‘Medium Dark’, which is a shade lighter than my skin tone and I thought would be perfect for brightening my under eye area.

The texture of this concealer is lightweight yet creamy. This is claimed as “a medium to high coverage” product but it’s more on the medium coverage side. When I applied this for the first time I felt a very nice moisturizing, gliding sensation. I became very impressed the moment I started blending the product in with this concealer as it’s so easy to blend even with hand. It gets blended in a matter of seconds – very seamlessly.

This is a fragrance-free formula that dries to a soft satin finish that works well for any skin type. Another important thing about the concealer is that it oxidises a bit; the shade Medium Dark is a bit light for me in the beginning, but after some time it oxidises and matches my skin tone perfectly.

This does a good job of covering dark circles if you have some darkness under the eyes; this concealer will be really good for you, it will cover the shadow and still look pretty natural. Smashbox included a couple of skin-beneficial ingredients in the formula, including sodium hyaluronate and the antioxidant vitamin E for providing necessary hydration to the skin.

This concealer creases on me a little. If I set it with a compact powder it creases a little, but if I use a loose powder to set it, it doesn’t budge at all. This one does not emphasize the texture of my under eye skin.

Regarding longevity, Smashbox says this concealer won’t budge for 24 hours and I beg to differ. It does not last all day for me and starts to fade after ten hours – which is pretty long according to me. The concealer is also waterproof, which is quite nice.

Overall, this is a good concealer, but not an extraordinary one. For the high price point, we can find some extraordinary products in the market. However, if you are looking for an easy to blend, non-cakey and hydrating concealer, then you can give this one a shot.
