Some Tips from Mickey Contractor, Director of Makeup Artistry India in his own words:
- Both the shades from the Double ended Concealer are to be mixed together at the back of your hand or on the palette and then used. (Check video for demo)
- If you want to conceal the reddishness on your face, just mix the yellow ( flesh) from the Duo concealer in your regular foundation.
- Jaan and Vivah from the Athma Eyeshadow quad are layering eye shadows. Mix the colours in the palette and create your own.
- Folie is my favourite eyeshadow.
- Duo corrector is my most favourite product from the collection.
- To create the perfect skin, generously moisturise your skin irrespective of weather or skin type. Then layer the foundation with a foundation brush (most imp.). Then pat a dry wedge sponge all over the foundation. Then lightly dust the coordinating shade of loose powder or Prep & Prime transparent powder all over your face.
- In MAC & Mickey Contractor Collection Visuals I have used Studio Fix Fluid foundations from my own collection. I have kept a mix of nude and colours in my collection so there is everything for everyone . There are various textures from matte to shine so you can take your pick.
- My favourite 5 products from MAC are Blacktrack Fluidline, Select Moisture Cover Concealer (as of now Double ended concealer from my own collection). Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, Plum & Cork Lip Pencils, Folie Eyeshadow
- With correct placement, quantity& correct choice of colours you can make most colours work for you.
- My favourite blush for lighter skin tone are dame + mocha; medium – gingerly, sincerely, mocha, pinch me, sur; dusky – all blush for medium skintones + love rush, razin. Gana is a highlighter and would work on all skintones.
- The collection hold a very special place in my heart. I have lived this collection for past two years . It’s a makeup artist’s dream come true.
- My collection inspiration has come from the real Indian women who visit the stores .

we were waiting for some customer to come because he wanted to demonstrate his concealer application especially on someone who had dark circles. Rati, i’d found colorbar time plus compact powder at my place. i’d like shade beige there as it was the lightest shade and they dont have suede . but at site beige is a dark shade.

They apply to MAC and pick up jobs, Sireesha. I think all of them have some or the other makeup degree / certification. They work as makeup artists at stores and then move up n the ladder. Mickey contractor is a makeup artist from past 32 years. And he is not exactly the MAC makeup artist. He’s is an independent makeup artist with whom MAC has associated with.
