Smokey Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial

Smokey Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial

Dear All,

First of all, thank you so much for your encouraging comments on my first tutorial of Sultry Silver Smokey Eyes. Today, I am back with another step-by-step tutorial for you all. I am in love with purple color these days and today I will be doing a purple smokey eyes tutorial which is perfect for a night-out with friends or a pub night! When I reviewed L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Burning Black,ย many of you requested me to do a look using the same and for this look, I am going to use “Burning Black” to achieve a smoked-out look.

This is how the final look turned out, I am really happy with the outcome and I hope you all like it too ๐Ÿ™‚

1) Concealer or eyeshadow base, I have used Colorbar Stick Concealer.

2) Bright purple eyeshadow, I have used Colorbar Single Eyeshadow in Star Violet.

3) Deep burgundy eyeshadow, I have used L’oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Burning Black.

4) Matte cream/white eyeshadow for highlighting brow bone.
5) Bright purple shade for inner corner highlighting, I have used Maybelline’s liner in violet.
6) Black eyeliner.
7) Mascara.
8) Kajal for waterline.

Brushes:

1) Faces eyeshadow brush.
2) MAC 217 for blending the crease.
3) Flat tip brush for lining the waterline.

So, let’s get started:

1) First, start with clean and moisturized eyes, apply concealer or any eyeshadow base to even out the skin tone on your eyelids, I have used Colorbar Stick Concealer.

  1. super gorgeous :))))
this mascara is so pretty ๐Ÿ™‚ im going to try this soon ๐Ÿ™‚
and i wanted to ask, which concealer would u reccommend this colorbar one or the inglot refills ?

    1. Thanks poorva..i love both of them..colorbar in stick form comes handy and i love the finish it gives..absolutely natural and matches my skin tone really well..inglot one is more creamier than colorbar stick one and i like that one too but m lazy to use it coz i need a brush to apply.. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. i am trying this eye make up for sure wen i go out the next time ๐Ÿ™‚ its awesome Parita di. the best thing about it is that this make up is very simple to do. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. wow..very pretty… loved the purple shade.. ๐Ÿ™‚
I have a query.. each time i try to blend in two or more shades of the eye shadow, they mix with each other and form a different color and i dont get the desired two shaded eye shadow.. how do i overcome this problem??

    1. hi yogika..totally understand..i used to face the same problem..the key here is to blend very softly only the edges of the eyeshadow and not taking the blending brush below the crease area where the eyeshadows are placed..hope m making some sense?

        1. yeah..if you blend overall they will definitely go into each other na ๐Ÿ™‚ blending has to be done only in the crease area to remove any harsh edges or lines..we want very natural transition from crease area towards the brow bone

          1. they should not be blended in between too..say for eg you have a golden eyeshadow in the inner half of your eyelids and pink in the outer half..you dont have to blend these eyeshadow where they meet on your eyelids but you need to blend the harsh edges on the crease area only! hope this helped ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. if the shade has purple undertones then definitely yes or else you can apply a cranberry shade like inglot 450 in the inner half of your eyelids and follow the rest same..it’ll look gorgeous!

  4. u look lovely parita….wil surely try this….acha tel me na how did u take that purple shadow below the lower lashline???with the angled brush?? i have difficulty doing a neat job below the lashline so i just skip it….

          1. hey thanks yaar…i have a couple of angled brushes from diff brands which i use for filling in my brows but so far i’ve not been successful with lashline lining….i think u need a lot of patience to master that…..keep the tutes coming-u r doin a really good job ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Omg! I was doing a tutorial with purple and black exctly in this way! Ws abt to send it.. Chalo u did it wonderrrrfuly dear:* haha, great minds think alike;)

    1. thanks swathi..not really..u shud def give it a try..a trick u can use is to clean up the surrounding area or apply a matte highlighter to brighten up the area ๐Ÿ™‚
