Hey everyone!

So, social networking has been really weird these days. As soon as I open my homepage, I see millions of advertisements about weight loss, stories and beauty stuff. Phew! Is the whole world trying to get thin? Well, I don’t know about the world, but I certainly am trying to cut down calories and be healthy rather than thin. But when we lose weight we somehow also lose the charm on our face (well, I do at least!). So, on the advice of a dietician, I have been drinking these two smoothies. Read further to find out my experience!

Weight Loss Smoothie

Ingredients:
Pineapple, beetroot, carrot, strawberry, spinach (total of merely 180 calories)

Benefits of Ingredients:

Pineapple
The enzymes present in this Vitamin C rich fruit help the body with digestion process, ensuring the right food gets in. It also helps in curbing the appetite.

Beetroot
Beets as we all are aware, helps in purifying the blood. This rich fiber fruit also helps in controlling the blood pressure and maintains a healthy cardiovascular system.

Carrot
Uhh…I love carrots! They benefit the hair, skin, and eyes. They help cleanse the digestive system ensuring you have no junk left. This low calorie fruit keeps one fuller for longer.

Strawberry
A great anti-oxidant helps increase the body’s metabolism rate and helps the weight reducing hormones function properly.

Spinach
Very low in calories, this wonderful antioxidant helps boost your weight loss journey. It also helps control hair fall.

Procedure:
Just take equal portions of all the ingredients and blend in a blender together and consume with the pulp. Do not add sugar to this.

When to Consume:
I prefer consuming this in the morning or after my workout as it also helps control hunger pangs and cravings. Also, it gives body the nutrition it needs for weight loss.

My Experience:
I drank this smoothie religiously for two weeks straight and noticed wonderful changes in my appetite. It makes me feel fuller for longer and hence, controls unnecessary cravings and false hunger alarms.

Ingredients:
Orange and carrots

Benefits of Ingredients:

Oranges
High in Vitamin C, this bright colored fruit is full of benefits for the skin. It flushes out the impurities, cures acne and keeps the blood flowing ensuring you have a glowing skin. There was a bit of a rumor that Kareena Kapoor had only been drinking orange juices to achieve her controversial zero figure. Rumor or not, it certainly helps!

Carrots
This fruit plays a very important role in cleansing the digestive system. Half of our skin related problems get solved once our digestive system is on track!

Procedure:
Ensure you take oranges to carrots in a 2:1 ratio and blend in a blender. Pour in a glass and enjoy your health drink.

When to Consume:
Best to be taken in the morning. I prefer taking this two-three times a week, since I am already consuming carrots in my weightloss smoothie. Also, I am a little prone to acidity hence I limit the intake. If anyone following this has some acidity issue, please limit it to 2-3 times a week and take it adding a little water to it.

My Experience:
I have an acne free glowing skin! #EnoughSaid

  1. Smoothies keep us fuller, no doubt. I love having them but it is difficult to get these fruits at once. :/ I don’t live near any supermarket. My sister loves to cook healthy food and she always adds spinach.
