Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Body Cream Review

Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Body Cream Review

Hello beautiful ladies,

Winters are the perfect time to slather your body with lotions and butters which makes winters all the more special. My recent visit to the Sephora made me run from counter to counter to pick up stuff which I do not get here. I got this body butter out of curiosity as I read all good things about this brand and the tester smelled awesome. The quantity was huge and hence I did not mind the hefty price tag.  Anyway, I am visiting Delhi in 2 years, so what the heck, I could splurge.

Product Description:

Five fruits super rich smoothing body cream. New Frutigo Fragrance with notes of frozen yuzu, orange oil, green fig and jungle pomelo essence.

The body butter came in a big plastic tub packaging.  The body and the twist open lid came in the typical Soap and Glory peachy pink color. There are stickers on the top and on the body as well mentioning all details of the product. The black and white picture adds to the vintage feel of the product. There is no protective aluminum cover to the product. Twist open the lid and you are exposed to a tub-full of yummy body butter. This makes the butter not at all travel-friendly, but butters generally come in tubs, so I cannot complain.

Rs. 1400/- for 300 ml.

My Experience with Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Body Cream:

One thing that puts me off in body lotions and creams is the sticky, oily feeling. This butter just seeps through the skin and my skin seems to drink up the butter immediately. All I am left with is super smooth and glow-y skin. I wish it came with SPF so that I could use it during day time as well, but right now, I am saving it for night-time pampering.  The texture is pretty thick and only a little amount is required to moisturize the skin.  The butter spreads on skin like real butter and it simply melts to give moisturized skin for a prolonged time. The morning after, I feel like touching my skin again and again like the cheesy advertisements on TV.

In general, I am not a fan of fruity fragrance, but this one is special. The fruity fragrance is supported by a base note of musky woody smell. How I wish the smell lingered for longer.  With all the goodness of fruits in my skin care routine, I am a happy bunny and I think henceforth I will give a second thought before chucking out a product just because of the fruity smell. If you like fruity fragrances and if you have access to Soap and Glory, do not miss this product. This is a boon for the winters, am so glad I picked it.
