My Experience with Soap & Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Face Powder:
This face powder had been on my wish list for a long time and I was happy to get my hands on it last month. I’m a huge fan of luminising face powders, But I don’t like them to have any shimmer. Ideally, I want the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, but because it’s rather expensive, I want to try out some cheaper options first.
The Soap & Glory Glow All Out powder can be used both as a highlighter and as an all-over face powder. However, it seems like most people prefer to use it as a highlighter only because it is fairly high on the shimmer quotient.
I’ll start with my favourite thing about this product. It’s definitely the packaging. As far as packaging is concerned, I think Soap and Glory and Benefit are the two brands that do a great job of it! I like how the product is encased in a cardboard sort of packaging that is fun and quirky and yet very sturdy. I love how Soap and Glory is beautifully embossed on the product.
Coming to the product, this is a pink-toned powder. I find it quite light and finely milled in texture. It is not chalky at all. Nor does it feel or look cakey once applied. It does not dry my skin out. To some extent, I think it sets makeup and absorbs excess oil. Overall, it’s a good luminising powder but I would also endorse the idea that it is best used as a highlighter.
I like to dust this with a powder brush or a blush brush on the top of my cheekbones and along the bridge of my nose to add some glow to my face. It blurs the appearance of lines on the face, which is a great thing. When used all over the face (and in excess), it can certainly make you look too shimmery. However, just a hint of this powder all over the face doesn’t look too bad. Overall, I wouldn’t say that this would work as a dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (which continues to feature on my wish list!), but it’s a nice enough highlight/luminising powder to own. At 11 GBP (about 1200 INR), it’s not too highly priced either.
Pros of Soap & Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Face Powder:
– Soft and finely milled pink-toned luminising powder.
– Can be used a highlighter or all over the face to add a beautiful glow.
– Can also be used to set makeup and absorb excess oil.
– The packaging is outstandingly beautiful!
Cons of Soap & Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Face Powder:
– It can look too shimmery if used all over the face with a somewhat heavy hand. It’s best used as a highlighting powder to add a glow to your face.
My Verdict on Soap & Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Face Powder:
I would definitely recommend this as a good highlighting face powder that adds a beautiful glow to the face.
