Soft and Girly Pink Valentine’s Day Makeup

Soft and Girly Pink Valentine’s Day Makeup

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Soft+and+Girly+Pink+Valentine’s+Day+Makeup

I wanted to share for this day a look that will be very VD inspired, but also very wearable. So, this is the look I will be sporting and I have already worn the exact same eyeshadows with different styles of eyeliner for 3 days straight! It’s soft enough to wear at most work places I feel and also college or just like that. I do realize that a lot of my looks have pink in them, but I guess that’s just a color I feel is very flattering on anybody.  Just like there is a red for everyone, I really believe there is a pink for everyone too. More than one pink actually will suit and just brighten up anyone’s face. Think of it this way, what pink blush does to your face, pink eyeshadow does that to your eyes – brightens it up! And for Valentine’s Day, one doesn’t need any excuse to overload on pink! Enough with the pink talk, let’s get to the makeup!

Brushes:

A fluffy brush that lets me not only pack on color but also blend out the crease and edges. A precision brush to place the color properly in the outer V and lower lash line.

Step-By-Step Tutorial:

Step 01:

I first started off by applying foundation all over my face and also around my eyes including the upper eye lid.  I then patted on some compact powder to set the foundation. This is how I normally prime my lids.

Step 02:

I then placed a bright yet light pink on almost the entire eyelid, save the outer and inner corners.

Step 03:

Using a precision brush, any brush that allows to create defined shapes, I used a rusty-pink to apply color on the outer V.

Step 04:

Using the same brush, I placed the almost white-gold on the inner corner.

Step 05:

Using the fluffier brush, I then blended the outer V and also along the crease.

Step 06:

I added a bit or red color just to deepen the outer corners and also to add more dimension to otherwise just pink-based colors.

Step 07:

I blended all colors till I was satisfied with the coloring.

Step 08:

Next, I mirrored the white-gold, pink and rusty-pink on the lower lash line.

Step 09:

I then applied some kajal, a very softly winged liner and some mascara. Highlight the brow bone area and then eye makeup is done!

Valentine's Day Eye Makeup

So, this is the look that I wanted for a day-time Valentine’s Day. To jazz it up or to take it from day-to-night, I would add some black on the outer V, blend it out really well to create a smoked look, add a shimmery pink pigment or glitter on the centre.  Next, I would thicken my liner and add some false eyelashes. I hope you all liked this look and I wish you all loads of love, luck and kisses!
