Sonam Kapoor’s Final Appearance at Cannes 2012
So, Sonam Kapoor, the “self-proclaimed” India’s fashionista (yes, I heard her say that in an NDTV interview), appeared in a dark red “velvet” Dolce and Gabbana dress and shoes fit for a prom night. Comparing Diane Kruger’s prom-type white dress which she wore for the amFAR event, Sonam’s style appeared very loud. She appeared like a cindrella (don’t miss out the head band) who never wanted the clock to strike 12. I thought she could have done away with the red lipstick for this outfit or at least the bad makeup, err…. I am not commenting on the headband (oh…I already commented) and the earrings.
Yew…whats with the makeup…whats the whitish thingy around her eyes? excessive concealer i assume… and whts wid the matching dress and shoes…. dunno whats wrong with her…
this is a sad story of once upon a time fashionista, who is now just trying too hard to maintain her image . . .
actually i thought she looked quite sweet and the smile just makes her look really peppy..:)

I have always loved Sonam’s ‘Hat ke’ styles & her innovative hairdos…but this one is not working for me…Nyaaahhhh…!!

Whats with the oily make up. I really beleived that maate was in but these days i am seeing too many celebrities with oily make up! and sonam with her height and skin i really thought she can rock any look but she has gone all the way out to prove me wrong!
I thought she fared much better than that alexander mcqueen dress. I think she looked cute ..like a little girl. 😀

2012 is not the year for Sonam. All her dresses have been tacky, and dont even get me started on the Zebra polkadotted dress with the Bigger-than-my-face bow….Velvet…….wwst??

She looks like some high school kid :/ baaaad makeup, and boring snoozefest of an outfit – it had the potential to be cute, it’s only her good attitude that saved it cuz she looks happy.
I think she was much better last year. this year i felt the pressure of “looking different ” got on to her. I just liked her marni dress look that she did for the photoshoot. gucci party one was cute too but sadly she dint get photographed in it much.
Yeah, it does seem that way, and she has a nice face, if only her makeup artist didn;t make it so cakey! The Marni was appropriate for the sunny French riviera but the McQueen and this D&G one aren’t doing any favors to her :/ the only pics from the Gucci party are kinda scary 😛 lol.
lolll!!! I know last time also her makeup bad. such a pretty face and loreal never does justice o her makeup. actually i dont know whose fault is it – sonam’s (as in she gives instructions for her makeup) or loreal’s? Because aish’s makeup must also be done by loreal and it looks so pretty in all her pics.
Maybe she gives instructions cuz Ash always looks gorgeous in terms of makeup, it’s so unfortunate when ppl are good looking and bad makeup or clothing ruins it :/ she has a long way to go though before she becomes a true fashionista.

oh.. i love that awesome dress.. loreal did such a bad makeup job.. her smile is infectious..overall she looks like shes going to break into a folk dance or something..should have ditched the earrings and headband n kept that necklace

The dress once took my attention but it faded away very soon…. as soon as i saw her face, earrings and head gear. That’s too much!! The make up looks so much patchy!! A lot of accessories and the red lips made the look very confusing as to what the focus shd be on?? THis year is a total disaster for Sonam….Sadly….

She is a lovely looking actress but I doubt if she has the right stylist working for her, her recent looks has let her image of being a fashion icon down.
