I am currently experimenting with quite a few eye makeup products and I realized that I own no white/nude eyeliner. That’s how I ended up buying the Sonia Kashuk Dramatically Brightening Kajal Gel Eyeliner which is a white kajal. Read on to find out how this eyeliner fared.
Eyes will instantly appear brighter and illuminated with the help of this creamy white kohl liner. Delivering a creamy, smooth finish, this long-wearing, smudge-proof formula will open the eyes for a refreshed, youthful look. The liner may be applied to the waterline without irritation and the blend of Rose and Mimosa waxes allow for effortless application. Perfect for a fresh daytime look or a dramatic evening out, the Dramatically Brightening Kajal is a fall must-have. Create a bigger, brighter and more illuminated eye by gently gliding along the lower waterline and into the corner of your eye for a refreshed and youthful look.
My Experience with Sonia Kashuk Dramatically Brightening Kajal Gel Eyeliner:
Packaging: The kajal comes in a gold-colored conical shaped packaging with a transparent cap. The packaging looks quite classy. The kajal itself is in a non-retractable stick format. I personally do not like that the entire liner is exposed in this fashion as there is always a risk of nicking it with the cap or breaking it when you press too hard. It doesn’t come with its own sharpener. So, once the tip becomes too blunt, you would need to find a sharpener to do the job.
Texture/Finish/Staying Power: When you think of kajal, you typically expect it to be very creamy and soft, but this kajal is slightly stiff and feels quite unlike other kajal pencils. You do need to apply slight pressure when using it and that makes it feel slightly uncomfortable.
The shade is a creamy white and does not appear as too stark. It does not contain any shimmer and the finish is matte. It can be safely used on the waterline and does not irritate the eyes, but because of the stiff waxy texture, I find it very difficult to draw a uniform line on my eyes. It just ends up looking patchy and powdery which is not at all flattering.
Now, coming to the staying power; I am not at all impressed by the staying power of this kajal. It hardly lasts on my waterline for 1-2 hours, which is pretty bad and fades unevenly. The claims of long wearing and smudge proof formula are surely not true.
So, by now, you would have realized that this is a dud of a product.
Pros of Sonia Kashuk Dramatically Brightening Kajal Gel Eyeliner:
- Creamy white color.
- Decently pigmented.
- Does not irritate when used on waterline.
Cons of Sonia Kashuk Dramatically Brightening Kajal Gel Eyeliner:
- Not very creamy and tugs slightly.
- Poor staying power and not at all long lasting.
- Patchy finish.
- Packaging exposes the entire liner and this may result in breakage.
Would I Repurchase Sonia Kashuk Dramatically Brightening Kajal Gel Eyeliner?
I would not recommend this kajal as its staying power is very poor. I would surely not repurchase.
