After reviewing the shade “Glow” from the Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo, I am back today with the review of the shade “Glisten.” So, read on to find out whether I liked it or not.
This hybrid texture combines all the best features of baked, powder, cream and fluid formula to easily blend, protect against dryness and deliver buildable color payoff that lasts up to 12 hours without fading.
Directions For Use:
Using a small brush apply bronzer to cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin. Next apply blush at the apples of the cheek, swirling back toward the hairline in a circular motion. The formula is sheer and buildable so avoid color overload.
My Experience with Sonia Kashuk Glisten Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo:
Packaging: This product comes in a simple brown round case packaging. The packaging is simple yet looks quite classy and attractive. The lid closes magnetically and it shuts well. So, there is no danger of the case opening accidentally.
The bronzer and the blush are housed in a single pan and are split down the middle. There is a crocodile-skin like pattern on the products which looks really pretty though it is there purely for aesthetic reasons only. There is no mirror or brush provided and I am okay with that because most of the times I do not use them even if provided along with the packaging.
Color/Texture/Lasting Power: The product feels quite dense in texture and you need to swirl your brush a few times to pick up some product, but the product feels quite smooth when applied on the skin.
The blush is a lovely pink shade and it is warmer as compared to the blush in the “Glow” duo. This is a shade which will suit Indian skin tones better. The blush has a slight shimmer to it which adds a lovely glow to the face. The pigmentation of the blush is slightly sheer, but you can surely build it up with multiple swipes.
The bronzer is a pretty bronze shade but slightly too shiny for my liking. It is pretty nevertheless. It is strongly pigmented and a light swirl is all you need to get a deep color.
Both the blush and the bronzer apply easily and blend well, but they do tend to highlight dry patches and hence I would recommend moisturizing the face properly.
The bronzer/blush is pretty long lasting and easily lasts on me for 5-6 hours. I surely didn’t need to reapply it throughout the day.
