SPAresource Melon Body Butter

SPAresource Melon Body Butter

Hello Friends,

Today, I am going to review my first and only body butter that I own.

SpaResource Melon body butter

Actually, I didn’t buy it, but “lootified” it from my sister’s bag. She got it as a gift from her friend who came back from the United States.  Through this, I got introduced to the world of body butters.  At first, I was quite confused on what this was and how it could be used.  Then my sister told me that it’s a “luxury” and use it whenever you want to pamper yourself or just apply it on your neck and hands before going to sleep.

I was quite surprised by her description, but definitely, it was looking like a luxurious thing. I instantly fell in love with its fruity smell. I loved applying it on my hands.

Packaging:

It comes in a green-colored tub packaging, which is in sync with the melon’s color.  It carries the picture of melon on top of the lid with the name of the body butter. The tub is of good quality, its not a cheap plastic container. I loved its locking system.  I don’t need to turn it around many times to open or close, just half a turn is enough to open the lid or to close it.

Texture:

I loved and just loved the texture of the body butter. It is quite thick in consistency. The cream is yellowish-white in color and really looks like butter.

It stays put where it was and hence no mess on the lid or the sides of the tub. It is somewhat semi-solid in consistency.

My Take on SPAresource Melon Body Butter:

Since I haven’t used any other body butter, like that from TBS, hence I can’t compare it with any of them, but I loved this one.  It has an amazing fruity fragrance that doesn’t linger on for too long, just for around 30 to 45 minutes after application. It is quite thick, so it takes time to get completely absorbed into the skin. As I prefer body lotions in liquid form, I don’t use it as a body lotion, but as an hand cream. Very little amount is enough for hands and it will keep the hands moisturized till I wash my hands. I just swipe my fingers over the butter and a small amount comes over my fingers. I love re-applying this as it is so silky smooth and I don’t mind.

Pros of SPAresource Melon Body Butter:

  • Very inexpensive (just 2$).
  • Very small amount is required.
  • Butter is so thick that it does not move or transfer to the lid or other areas.
  • Contains 4 types of butter variants.
  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Fruity fragrance but not over the top (it might be a con for those who don’t like fruity fragrance).
  • Available in 16 different variants.

Cons of SPAresource Melon Body Butter:

  • Not available in India.
  • Contains parabens.
  • Thick in consistency and it takes time to get absorbed completely.
  • It comes in a tub packaging, so you have to dig your fingers if you want to take out a large amount of butter.
  • If more than required amount is taken, it will leave a greasy film on the skin (I think that is bound to happen as it is a thick moisturizer).

IMBB Rating:

3.75/5.

Do I Recommend?

Yes, I totally recommend these. This is a must-try body butter especially for those who haven’t tried any body butters yet and they are dirt cheap compared to The Body Shop’s body butters.

Thank you guys, hope you liked the review.

Rati prefers Mac concelear in painterly pot.. so you can consider it to be the best. But you can also give a try to colorbar and NYX concelears in the starting.
