My Experience with Starlooks Ultra Orchid Gem Eye Pencil:
I have used an array of eye makeup products. Some of them have been really impressive while others have been average. But, I like the fact that there are so many options. I wish the makeup market in India also grows by leaps and bounds. This is an eye pencil that I received in one of my subscription boxes and I was impressed that I was sent such an expensive product, that too full size.
The pencil comes with a cap and needs to be sharpened. I wish, it had twist up mechanism. The texture is extremely soft and glides on the lids.
I was in love with the vibrant purple color with shimmers and on taking a swatch. I noticed how soft it glided. I applied it on my eyelids as a liner during a party. I was really excited with the shade but during the application the pencil was so soft that it crumbled on my lids creating a mess. I had to wash off my entire makeup and start over again.
I thought of trying to use it as a base color on my lids on another day. Well, it was okay and the application was of much ease. But, the glitters traveled all over my face within a few hours and I was left with an irritated eye.
The staying power of this pencil is horrible. It gets wiped away even while wearing clothes. Sadly, I had no luck with this particular pencil that I really wanted to love.
Pros of Starlooks Ultra Orchid Gem Eye Pencil:
- Nice color.
- Super soft texture.
- Does not tug.
- Cruelty free.
Cons of Starlooks Ultra Orchid Gem Eye Pencil:
- Terrible staying power.
- Crumbles during application.
- Glitter travels all over face.
1/5 (only for the color and texture)
