Tutorial:

Step 1:

Start with prepping up your eye lids by applying an eyeshadow primer. An eyeshadow primer is essential to reflect the true colour of the eyeshadow as well as to make your shadow last longer. I have used Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion – Original.
step 1
Note :
Powder your under eye area with any loose powder to make sure that any fall out of your eye makeup products can be brushed off easily without leaving any colour. This step can be avoided if you are doing your eye makeup before doing your face.

Step 2:

Apply any cream based eye shadow in blue colour and smudge it till your crease, making sure there is no definite line. This ensures that when we top it up with a powder shadow, there is no harsh line and blending is easier and smoother. I have used Makeup Forever Flash Palette – Colour Bright Blue (014).
step 2

Step 3:

Now, apply the powder eye shadow. The correct way to do it is to dab a little bit all over the cream shadow. Blend the powder eye shadow nicely in the crease area with a fluffy blending brush. I have used the ‘Centre Stage’ foiled eyeshadow by Makeup Geek.
step 3

Step 4:

Apply a dark brown eye shadow in the crease area and blend it. You are blending this brown into blue on the lower side and upward towards the brow bone. I have used Sketch by MAC.
step 4

Step 5:

Apply a lighter brown above the dark brown. Here, you are blending this light brown with the dark brown on the lower side and upward towards the eyebrows. I have used Texture by MAC.
step 5

Step 6:

Highlight the brow bone with a highlighter shade and blend it well. I have used Rice Paper and All That Glitters by MAC.
step 6

Step 7:

Apply the winged eyeliner. I have used Fluid Line in Black track by MAC.
step 7

Step 8:

On the lower lash line, apply the blue powder eye shadow with a flat angled brush and smudge it with a smudging brush. Apply a black Kohl pencil or a kajal on the waterline. I have used Smoulder Eye Kohl by MAC. Finally, curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler, apply an eye lash primer and top it up with a mascara. I have used ‘MAC Eyelashes Prep and Prime’ and They’re Real Mascara by Benefit.

  1. That’s a very beautiful look, Parul. I would love to try it our someday. Can you suggest some dupes of blue shadows? 🙂

    1. Hi Shikha

It’s a deep blue colour that I have used – you can go for Sephora’s ‘Diving in Australia – navy blue- shimmer’ eyeshadow which is beautiful deep blue with a nice shimmer!

  2. Love the gorgeous makeup Parul. Indeed, I so wanted to try something in similar shade of blue for my friend’s wedding but I am not that good with eye makeup. This look is easy and I will definitely wear this. 😀
