Step-by-Step Makeup Tutorial – Purple Smoky Eyes with Bold Wine Lips

Hi beauties! 🙂
Sunday means a small party, family hangout or a romantic movie date. And, my today’s makeup look goes amazingly with all these events. We all love bold lips and soft romantic eye makeup and that’s why I prefer this purple smokey eye look.
Step-by-Step Makeup Tutorial of Purple Smoky Eyes with Bold Wine Lips

Wine isn’t really a summery shade. But, I think, if I carry my lipstick shades perfectly, they won’t stay restricted to a particular season. When you apply a deep lip color, you should keep your eyes soft and light so that they complement the whole look. I absolutely love how this look turned out as it is so fresh and elegant. Let’s get into the tutorial now!

Step 1:

I started with my eye makeup, I applied MUA Pro-Base Prime and Conceal in the shade Yellow on my eyelids as a base and blended it smoothly. Next, I applied a setting powder to hide the yellow tone. It made the shadow last longer and prevented it from creasing too.

Step 2:

I applied Deborah Milano 24ore Waterproof Eyeshadow Crayon in the shade Metal 04 all over my eyelid. It is a metallic beige shade which gives a nice shine to my eyelids. I blended the shadow with my ring finger.

Step 3:

Then, I used the MUA Romantic Efflorescence Eyeshadow Palette to create this whole eye look. I applied matte brownish purple shade on my crease and blended the color smoothly with a round crease blending brush.
step 3

Step 4:

Next, I applied a metallic purple shade at the outer corners of my eyes and also on the crease. I blended all the shadow with a fluffy blending brush. I kept blending until it turned into a soft smoky look. step 4

Step 5:

Again, I used the same beige eyeshadow crayon on the center of my lids and also on the lower lash line. I used this shade at the inner corners of my eyes as a highlighting shade. Now, I blended all the shadows with a small blending blush. step 5

Step 6:

To make the look softer, I used the same metallic purple shadow on my lower lash line and blended it with a flat shadow brush. I applied the same beige crayon on my water line to make my eyes appear bigger. I skipped my liner and kajal to keep this look more natural and soft.
step 6

Step 7:

Then I curled my eyelashes with Vega Lash Curler and applied Coloressence Eyes Spy H.D Volume Mascara on my lashes.step 7

Step 8:

To complete the whole eye look, I used Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper Brown to define my brows. I applied a pinky beige shade just under my eye brows to highlight my brow bones.

Step 9:

Now, coming to my face makeup, I concealed my face with Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and then I used Essence Soft and Natural Long Lasting Make-Up all over my face. Currently I don’t need major coverage, so it gives me a natural look. You can use your regular foundation also.

Step 10:

After completing my basic face makeup, I prepared my lips with a hydrating, long-lasting lip balm.

Step 11:

Then, I concealed my lips with W7 Cover Stick with Tea Tree Oil. I blended the concealer with a Beauty Blender Sponge. It gives a smooth, even application. After that, I wiped off the excess product from the center of my lips.

Step 12:

Here, I used Sugar Cosmetics Matte As Hell Lipstick Crayon Poison Ivy to draw my lips. First, I drew the area which I wanted to enhance. I lined my cupid’s bow and the center of my lower lip with the crayon and filled the edges in. I generally do not use a lip liner as I am comfortable with my lipstick. But, you can if you want.

Step 13:

Next, I filled the rest of my lips normally with the same crayon. It is so easy! Now, to hide the harsh lines, I blended with a small detailing brush. It gives a soft, smooth, and even application.

Step 14:

Now, to make the application more prominent, I applied the same concealer with a flat concealer brush and then set it with a compact powder. It defines my lips and also highlights them. We are done with the lip makeup now.

Step 15:

After my lips, I contoured my face with a dark concealer stick by Makeup Revolution. I blended my contour smoothly. I set all the cream makeup with Maybelline White Superfresh 12HR Whitening + Perfecting Compact . Next, I used Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Coral; it’s a highlighting blush and I used it as a blusher cum highlighter. I wanted to keep my face makeup natural, so I didn’t use any deep blush or highlighter. Now, I set my makeup with a fixing spray.
final look

I hope this tutorial is helpful for you. It is a very fresh and subtle makeup look. It is easy to create also. Also, it will complement all complexions well. Enjoy! 🙂
