By Mirror Rendezvous

We are back again with a Soft Summer Smokey Eye tutorial, thanks to IMBB.
This is especially for those who love makeup but just can’t manage to perfect a defined eye liner. The soft smokey look is in vogue and all it takes is to make blending your best friend!
Final look
Smokey eye look is everywhere, from editorial looks worn by Kareena Kapoor to party looks and also bridal like the one sported by celebrity Kim Kardashian.
It’s a technique in which blending is the key. It mimics the texture of smoke wherein it is dense at the source and thins out at a distance. It is typically done in hues of black, greys, browns, greens and blues.

Here we take a look at a summer smokey eye look. Summer is the time when all the colours are vibrant against the bright blue sky. So embrace those colours!!! An orange eye shadow (summer tone) with a brown liner (soft smokey feel) and a blue Kajal (pop of colour)for this look.

Tutorial:

Step 1

Step 1
Prep and prime your eyelids with an eye cream, eye primer and set it with a matte shade closest to your skin tone. Here we use a large blending brush to achieve a soft finish.
(If you prefer a bolder look apply white base to the lid and brown base close to the lash line)

Step 2

step 2
Apply a matte orange eye shadow from lash line to crease. Remember to blend with windshield wiper motions with lesser product as u get closer to the crease. Take a glitter cream shade and apply in inner corner of eye and just below the brow bone.

Step 3

Step 3
Take a cream base brown liner and apply as close to the lash line as possible and thicken the line as u reach the outer corners. (Don’t worry about it being too straight)

Step 4

step 4
Now with a pointed brush that has brown eye shadow blend blend blend!

Step 5

Step 5
Now comes the fun pop of colour, take that blue kajal that you have but shy to use, it’s summer and unleash your fun side! Line your water line with it and blend with a blue shadow just under. This not only brightens to Kajal but it also ensures its staying power.

Step 6

Curl lashes and apply generous coats of mascara both on the upper lashes and lower lashes

Step 7

Final look
Fill in your eye brows and you are good to go. Remember to have a light hand, blend till the end and experiment with fun colors.
