Step-by-Step Tutorial – Halloween Skull Makeup Look

Hello, beauties!

Wish you a very happy Halloween, guys. This festival is quite popular in the western countries but is slowly gaining popularity in India as well. As a makeup lover, I also wanted to try a Halloween look, so I opted for this one. I was quite excited to create this skull look and it has turned out so well. It looks a little complicated but is quite easy. So now let’s check out the full step by step tutorial.

Step-by-Step Tutorial - Halloween Skull Makeup Look

Step 1:

Halloween Skull Makeup Look Step 1
First, I moisturized my face well and applied a primer. Since I was going to use a lot of product I used an oil-controlling primer. It helped me keep my makeup in place for long.

Step 2:

I applied a lighter shade of foundation on my face and blended it well with a sponge to get a smooth finish. I also used a lighter shade compact powder to set everything well. I tried to create a lighter base than my actual skin tone. You can even use a white foundation if you have any.

Step 3:

Now, coming to eye makeup. First, I created thick eyebrow lines and filled up the brows deeply. It should look deeper and darker than usual. Initially, I used a brown kit and then finished with a black gel liner to make the look super bold.

Step 4:

Next, I used a blackish brown shadow on my eyelids and blended it well until I got the smoky look. Next, to make it bolder, I used a black shadow and blended it well all over the lid area. I also extended that shade towards the sides of my nose.

Step 5:

I then used the same black shadow on my lower lash line and created a thick smoky line.

Step 6:

Next, I blended the shade with a natural brown shadow and made it quite smooth and smoky. I also applied a dark shade on my under eye area to create the effect of dark eyes.

Step 7:

To finish my eye makeup look I used a black kajal on the waterline and applied mascara on my lashes.

Step 8:

To create wrinkles on my forehead area, I drew two lines on both sides of my nose and extended them towards the forehead and created a curve. Next, I blended the line and used a brown shadow to make it natural.

Step 9:

Since I was creating the skull first I began by drawing my nose. I used an eye pencil to create my nose and outlined the area like a skull. Then, I filled up the area with the same black pencil.

Step 10:

Coming to the structure of the face, I used a black kajal to draw a line on my cheeks to give a deeply contoured look. I started lining from an angle of my ears. First, I created a straight line until the middle of my face and then made a curve and joined the line with the lips.

Step 11:

I blended the line well and used a black shadow to smudge the line. After that I applied a brown shadow to make the line look natural. I blended everything well with a blending brush.

Step 12:

Now coming to the lip makeup, here I wanted to draw some fake teeth. So first I applied a light concealer on my lips and dabbed the product well. I then applied a black kajal on my inner lip line and smudged it well.

Step 13:

Then I used the same black pencil and drew some lines on both upper and lower sides and continued the line outside the mouth as well.

Step 14:

Next, with a thin brush I smudged those lines slightly. I also used a shadow to make them appear a little thick.

Step 15:

Now, I filled up the gaps between two black lines with a white liner. It helps to give a more realistic look.

Step 16:

Finally, I used a black gel liner and made those black lines deeper and also used a peachy gold highlighter between the gaps to highlight those areas perfectly. Try to make everything appear pretty natural.

Step 17:

To contour the rest of my face, I used a dark brown powder on my forehead and jawline. I also used a black shadow on the hairline area. I blended the shades very smoothly. I also joined the face contour line with my hairline smoothly by applying some black shadow.

Step 18:

I also contoured my neck and applied a dark brown shadow.

Step 19:

Even a skull needs a highlighter! So, I used a beautiful golden highlighter on my cheekbones, forehead and bridge of my nose, and also on the brow bone.
